The girl who couldn't say please and thank you when asking for a favor from strangers is now lecturing them on manners? Well bless your heart.

Good luck with that SEC recruitment.

This really isn't specific to the OP, but it just kills me that people under 21 anymore are convinced that you can do/achieve ANYTHING on the internet if you have the right link or webpage. Real world and physical things are superfluous.

Remember the Sandra Bullock movie "The Net" back in the day? I remember watching her order a pizza through the computer during the opening sequence and thinking how totally amazing that would be if you could do that in real life. And then I went outside and rode my bike til the streetlights came on. *sigh* Someone get me a lemonade and a rocking chair.

I think that "bless your heart" is kinda like the Godwin of Greekchat. Once it comes out, you win, thread over, we can all go home.

Mackenzie,

Not to toot my own horn, but the General Advice thread in Sorority Recruitment has all the info you need on sorority recs, too.

Yes, get them for each chapter. Email all relatives and friends and post on FB, Twitter, etc., that you are rushing at XYZ University in the fall and looking for recs. You'd be surprised at what connections you do have. Also, as mentioned, look at contacting the alumnae panhellenics in your hometown (or metro area) for assistance.

If you are rushing at a school that is in the SEC, you will need recs for each chapter.

Good luck.
