I'm doing delayed rush this coming spring!!

My daughter is rushing at an SEC school this fall! She is so excited and a little nervous!

Rushing at a very competitive Southern school. <3 Wishing for luck and lots of fun!

I have added the University of Alabama to my Rec Crew. The girl got her info to me the day before recs had to be postmarked, but we made it! I was also contacted a few days ago by another UGA-bound girl and am doing her rec this week. So -- my crew is:

4 at UGA
1 at Ole Miss
1 at Alabama
1 at Georgia State College and University. Their recruitment is coming up quickly; it begins August 6th.

All have promised to let me know the outcome of their adventure. I also know quite a few young men who will be taking part in fraternity recruitment as freshmen. Some have been attending summer parties and two have already received bids from fraternities at UGA -- one to Sig Ep and one to Sigma Nu. It's so exciting to see where everyone finds their home!

I am rushing this fall! In a few short weeks, I will be going through one the best experiences of my life. Also, just wanted to let you all know how helpful GC is! I have read through countless threads and reading through other girls recruitment stories have eased my nerves...a little. :)

I was not on GC last fall and am wondering -- will there be a thread to post the results of our rec crews? I don't think I will be doing any actual recruitment stories on any of mine, but should find out where each one accepts a bid to. Or -- can we just update in this thread? Thanks

I would have, but I was very blessed and fortunate to receive a bid from a fraternity (which I pledged) over the summer at AU. Best of luck to all you ladies and gents set to rush this fall!

Don't be nervous, just be yourself and you'll definitely find the best group for you! For someone that went through Summer Rush, I was totally feeling what you were-nervous but excited. Good luck!

I'm rushing at UK. (: Less than 13 days to go--I'm so excited!

I hit the malls yesterday with a girl from my church who is going through recruitment at UGA, trying to find the perfect pref party dress and at last we found it. I have been helping her get ready for rush, helping her with some recs she was having trouble with and her conversation skills. She is such a sweet girl I will just vomit if things don't work out for her. Will let you know how things turn out.

I couldn't be more nervous/excited!

I'm rushing in two weeks. Hopefully everything goes well for me, the only downer is that I'm a junior but I'm hoping for the best.

I have two cousins that are already involved in Greek Life at UGA, one is set to be a Junior, the other a Sophomore-both are in the same fraternity.

I also have a cousin (female) that is going to be a Freshman there in the fall, and she too is going through recruitment at UGA.

I've been down to UGA during the school year on visits, and one thing I can tell you is that the people involved in the Greek Life System at UGA, both males and females are some of the most down-to-earth, genuine people you will come across. I am going to AU and pledged to a fraternity over the summer, but it was very hard to say no to UGA. It seems as if there is a place for everybody. My cousin is very nervous, much like the girl you are helping. I have no doubt that it will turn out well for the girl you are helping; all of the girls that I had the opportunity to meet (from quite a few different sororities, mind you) were outstanding people.

I will be going through recruitment this coming school year (2011-2012).
I have a quick question though. My dad is a pro athlete. I don't want to flaunt it and appear obnoxious but I have interesting stories because of it and I think it makes me stand out a bit. Should I or should I not bring up my father during recruitment?

I have one so far who will be a freshman at the Univ. of Georgia.

I'm doing recruitment this fall at Chapman! Excited, but I have yet to put together a rec crew :O

I know two young ladies going through recruitment at Clemson (one lives in my neighborhood--we used to carpool--and the other is the daughter of one of my husband's co-workers). I sent a letter for each of them since I never got anything to write an actual rec for them. I also wrote a rec for a young lady going through at Bama.

I wrote my first rec this year for a girl going through at Illinois! So excited for her!

The first girl in my Rec Crew starts recruitment tomorrow night! She was also the first rec I did this summer. Can't believe it's here and I will soon have some news to report!

So far I will be writing ten references for ladies going through at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU).

I am going through recruitment in one week! I am so excited and nervous! :p

I just found out that a former cheerleader of mine is rushing at U of Arizona. I'm so excited for her.
