No sé, it would be hard to choose. I love my 3 schools but my oldest 8 have gone to colleges that they've really liked and had a great time at. My oldest 6 girls have gone to schools without Pi Phi and flourished in their sororities. Mm. I think I want a Pi Phi more. Just one? |

Frankly, I don't care for others within national headquarters. I like mine and they're my brothers. |
To me, I'd want her to be an AXiD. As much as I loved SPSU - it's not the kind of school to go gaga over.
That being said, like someone else mentioned, I wouldn't want her to join AXiD just because of her legacy status. If she would be happy and involved in another organization, that's what matters. |

But I think it's very unlikely, and that's okay too. |

ADPi, definitely! My school leaves much to be desired, but Alpha Delta Pi never comes up short. I have to admit that I have fantasized about my future daughters Recruitments, and nothing would make me happier than them loving ADPi as much as I do! Plus they would be third generation legacies!!!

I would much prefer them to share my alma mater! There are so many great GLOs on campus that I think they could find their home at any one of them.
|
I wouldn't wish my alma mater on my family. It's not what it once was. Louisiana recently cut so much money from the higher education budget that I'm surprised the school is still running. I would love to see my nieces become AOIIs if that's what they wanted to be. I'd go to their initiations in a heartbeat! I'm not having kids, so that's as close as I can come for this question. :p

Score one for the I-x1 family. |
Alma Mater.... I'd love, love, love to have my (some day) daughters in my Sorority, but the Alma Mater bond would be a bigger one to share, and one their dad would enjoy (much more than me) too. There are so many Wisconsin things I love and would love to share.
I loved the Greek Community at Wisconsin, so I would be able to enjoy sharing that experience. I'd also still get to do sorority things with my daughter, such as the Alumnae Panhellenic Brunch, Mom's Weekends, and Homecoming Activities. Finally, I think they can find the values I found in my sorority in nearly any sorority, but a good education is extremely important to me, and I know they'd get that there. In all reality, I don't care too much, as long as they don't go to Minnesota or Michigan. :) |

Alma mater, alma mater. Brown, not Columbia.
Greek Life has been more important to me as an alumna than it was as a collegiate. Also, it wasn't that big a deal when I was actually in school. Sharing Brown traditions with a mini-Munchkin is more important than sharing AXO traditions. |

It's a really, really good school, so I know they'd get a good education there. (I'm not saying that about the other one though :p) I just wouldn't pay for football tickets. |

And I'll agree with you re: Minnesota ;) *goes back to anxiously waiting for college football to start back up* |

I didn't go to Bama, but my entire family is Crimson Tide all the way. I don't know what I'll do if I have kids and they apply to Auburn or...Tennesee. |
I'd prefer my son joining Sigma Chi over going to my alma mater.

Alma Mater. My parents and sisters all attended my university and I love having that connection. It would be wonderful to be able to have the same connection with my kids. Of course, the husband would love for one of them to attend his Alma Mater as well, but unless we strike it rich, I don't know if we'll be able to afford his school by then!
|
Definitely GLO. I have issues with my school and the general campus culture. They are verrrrrry far down on my list of places I would donate if I suddenly became a bajillionaire. (Top 3: My chapter, Kappa Foundation, Sons of Norway)

I would love for my daughter (future and non-existent right now) to go to Penn State. I would be THRILLED if she joined my chapter, while there. If she went to another good school like Hopkins, Florida, FSU, or any of the other really great chapters we have out there, I'd be THRILLED to see her as a Phi Mu! |

Random comment: Apparently, Penn State's DFW Alumni meet at a bar near my apartment. I went there a year or 2 ago during the Michigan-Penn State game, not realizing they'd be there. Of course, I was wearing my Michigan attire. I walked in to ~100 upset Penn State fans who started booing when I arrived (all in good fun) lol |

I don't really care if my kids go to Tuskegee or not. It is definitely not for everyone. My son(s) will be able to choose what and if they become Greek. As long as they aren't a Cappa...please don't let them want to be Cappas lol. :D Seriously though, I'm not paying for it if they don't want to be Alphas. I'll support their decision 100% though after a good question and answer session. |

But if Ohio State even crosses their minds, there will be flames. That would be an unforgivable sin. |
I love my school and my Fisk Experience so I would love for my future children to attend.
But I also know the Fisk experience isn't the same as it used to be and I would not want my children going thinking they would have the same experience I had. GLO? I don't care though I am very partial to them being in the NPHC. I would have questions if they went outside the NPHC. |

Yep I'm pretty low key on here in concerns to GLO's because it is more NPC, NIC convos than NPHC and since I went to an HBCU my experiences with those other orgs are next to nil (The Year after I graduated they finally had Alpha Phi Omega and Phi Mu Alpha back on campus, knew of them because our dorm director was a member of both and had his paraphernalia from those orgs in the display case). Only when I on went Vandy (Vanderbilt) campus that I had some sort of experience interacting with NIC/NPC. It's all new and intriguing to me. |

I'm sad to say that I have little to no allegiance to my alma mater, and that the school where I do feel a kinship doesn't have my GLO.
I can always hope, though, and will answer my GLO. |
I love my alma mater. I'm going back in the fall. But it's not particularly prestigious, despite that it's an amazing school. My GLO put me on the right track to student leadership and just planning out my future in general. The school could've changed, but my fraternity made me.
I'd choose my fraternity every time. I also have some biases similar to Sen's. |
My alma mater. My GLO was just a piece of what was the whole pie of my college life. I loved my time at Ohio Northern (even though I'm broke now because of it!), and I love being a Theta, but I'd be happier seeing my daughter at ONU.
|
I love my school, but I'd go with GLO if I had to choose.
