^^^Praying they are not that stupid.

APhiQuetieACE 08-12-2010 08:36 PM

Rachel will go because they know she is more likely to win HOH

agzg 08-12-2010 08:56 PM

LOL Brenden is such a failure.

gee_ess 08-12-2010 11:10 PM

Ding dong the witch is dead!! Woo hoo!

I was cracking up when Brendan became Mr Intensity I Need to Win HOH as he prepared for the HOH competition. He was acting like it was the final heat to make the Olympic Team! What a crack up!

Also, LOVED the ex-fiance tell all! Brendan has just become a national joke! I kind of feel sorry for him, kind of.

I am a little worried that Brittany may become a little overly cocky and cruel...hoping she keeps her wits about her now that Rachel is gone.

And I still love Enzo. I think he is going to make it to the final two.

tnxbutterfly 08-12-2010 11:16 PM

Rachel+Brenden= a big ball of suck

Rachel reminds me of my co-worker with all her self-importance and unnecessary drama. I've always thought that Brenden was kind of dumb when he got around Rachel. If the two of them got married, I could so see Rachel on an episode of Bridezillas.

I'm very pleased at the outcome of tonights show

Enzo cracks me up. During the after hours show he was talking to Monet and Matt about thinking of all of Illinois as the south. I'm not 100% positive, but I think Chicago is more north than all of Jersey. Regardless, I love watching Enzo and the whole Brigade!

gee_ess 08-13-2010 10:32 AM

Enzo considers Chicago as southern??! Hilarious and so wrong in so many ways!

Nanners52674 08-13-2010 06:10 PM

On BBAD last night Britt and Matt were talking about greek life in college. Anyone know what orgs?

APhiQuetieACE 08-15-2010 09:45 PM

Yay Brenden won HOH!!...and made Brittney, Matt, and Ragan have-nots...BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Too bad for Brendan that Matt has the super-secret Diamond Power of Veto.

gee_ess 08-16-2010 09:35 AM

I thought Reagan trying to form an alliance with Brendon was brilliant. No one would suspect it and it would have worked. Although I am a Brittany fan, I think (strategically) she should have been the logical choice on the block. But, if she can survive this week, she needs to get busy. Her alliances are too weak.

gee_ess 08-18-2010 10:30 PM

Surely, SURELY, someone with the show has encouraged Rachel to behave like such a beotch. Surely, SURELY she cannot actually be such a beotch!!

She is either being coached or she really thinks she is acting. Gosh, I hate who she is on the show.

Why would you say that? Phi Mu has nothing to do with it.

gee_ess 08-19-2010 08:15 AM

^^ I think Nut is saying that Phi Mu is probably hating the way she is acting, too. Not a great way to represent the group.

Senusret I 08-19-2010 08:23 AM

She's not representing the group, she's playing a game on reality television. Her affiliation is truly irrelevant.

Nanners52674 08-19-2010 08:29 AM

I'm so excited for tonight and to see what happens with Matts diamond veto!

Senusret I 08-19-2010 08:30 AM

^^ That shit's gonna be EPIC.

gee_ess 08-19-2010 09:24 AM

Can Matt put up Brendon? Are the rules the same for the Diamond Veto as the other regular power of veto? I would love it if he put up Brendon but it will probably be Brittney.

I do believe that our individual actions reflect on our group -- whether or not we are wearing letters.

Anywho... I'm also wondering about the diamond power of veto and if it can be used on Brendon. I'm guessing no, but we'll have to see!

Morgan7487 08-19-2010 10:45 AM

It can't be used on brenden or ragan

If YOU let Rachel's behavior become a reflection on Phi Mu then that's YOUR fault for not distinguishing someone's personality from someone's membership.

Meanwhile, outside the Greek matrix, nobody cares that she's a Phi Mu.

Or knows.

gee_ess 08-19-2010 10:08 PM

I assure you the Phi Mus know. The kappas (at least her chapter) are well aware that Brittney is on Big Brother. Greeks love to brag - I am willing to bet Brittney has been a topic of at least one rush convo this year.
And, whenever I hear a "famous" person/athlete/achievement is a kappa, I get a bit puffed up about it, as crazy as that sounds. Just as when I hear of something embarrassing being done by a Kappa, I hate to hear it.

That said, I enjoyed the twist tonight as well as the announcement that two will be eliminated next week.

Senusret I 08-19-2010 10:14 PM

Being disappointed in your own sister is different from being disappointed on someone else's behalf.

Marion Barry smoked crack. He is my chapter brother. We deal with that. All others, mind your damn business, MY frat will be okay.

See the difference? One is a personal and internal discussion, the other is spoken by a busybody.

LyrePantsOnFire 08-20-2010 12:55 AM

Uh, if it's not too early to start talking about today's episode:

Poor Kathy has to spend the week with Rachel all alone. But I guess she's amiable enough that they could get along if Rachel doesn't still harp on the "POV celebration." Brendon's bound to be out for the first eviction next week, but the second one is totally up for grabs. It'll be interesting to see who wins that power next Thursday.

thetygerlily 08-20-2010 12:26 PM

On the issue of whether it matters- maybe it's an NPC thing & we can agree to disagree. Any public figure reflects on the organizations they are in- the same way I am a representative of my family, my company, my region, etc. Psychologically people want to group or bucket individuals so they can better understand them. No, most random people walking down the street won't know that Britney's a Kappa or Rachel's a Phi Mu, but if someone hears about several public personalities/figures who are in that org, they'll start forming an opinion. The same way you would if you meet several people from one country or type of interest. There are always outliers and the most public ones don't always represent the whole, but that's the way things work.

Anyway :) Britney is cracking me up. She has added so much comic relief to the show... couldn't stand her when Monet was on, but love watching her now. Did anyone else have a few WTF moments when they showed Britney & Lane's hometowns, and both families appeared to forget that Britney is engaged?? Her mom mentioned it as a reason she was holding back, and a second later said that she would love to have Lane as a son-in-law. Umm... okay, great vote of confidence for her fiance right there! It's tv and it may have been taken out of context or prompted as a joke or hypothetical, but...

Glad to see Kathy's gone. Every time she does something clumsy or ditzy my husband and I are thinking "she's a SHERIFF??" (great example of my point above :D) Should be interesting to see if the brigade sticks together or not. I hope they go their separate ways. And go Britney for HOH!

It's not an NPC thing. It's a busybody thing. Worry about being an active member for life rather than what somebody else THINKS about an organization, or even that somebody was slick enough at the mouth to mention it.

It goes without saying that we're agreeing to disagree. The next choice is to agree to respond or don't. :)

Senusret, I really do respect your opinion and I understand what you are saying. I agree to disagree.

I think Rachel's behavior is so horrid. When I saw she is a Phi Mu I said to myself, "Poor Phi Mu!"

Now... about Thursday's show -- I thought it was so great how excited the house guests were as they voted.

gee_ess 08-20-2010 02:30 PM

I think Kathy has been a sweet person on the show, but she has to be the all time worst physical competitor!

sigmadiva 08-22-2010 09:46 PM

I agree with the nominations this week for the reasons given.

TagDerEnte 08-31-2010 09:22 PM

Between Enzo and Kathy I think they are the worst competitors in the game Enzo is just riding coat tails and can't win anything. He's lucky he came up with this brigade or he wouldn't have lasted this long. Kathy said she was throwing competitions but I don't buy it I think she just wasn't cut out for the game and for being a sheriff I expected a little more out of her. I think Ragan will be the comeback kid and win it all, you heard it here first.

BeeBee23 08-31-2010 09:30 PM

I really want Ragan to win, but I think he'll be eliminated this week. Unless he can quickly find an alliance before thursday, I don't think he will get the votes to stay.

Based on the live feeds, he certainly doesn't seem to have much of a chance.

gee_ess 09-09-2010 12:31 PM

Well, I was sad to see Brittany go, but loved her "If I can't be a part of the brigade, I am proud to have been a brigade casualty" comment.

I think it will be Hayden for the win...

thetygerlily 09-09-2010 01:24 PM

Me too- sad for her leaving, but I think once the shock wore off she handled it really well. My husband's comment was that she shouldn't be upset that they had an alliance but the way they told her- acting cocky & rubbing it in. But I don't think they were doing that on purpose, especially Enzo. That's just how he talks. And they were so excited to finally say something, own up to the alliance, and brag about how much they had done. Still, some of the comments or gestures or whatever were not particularly nice/understanding.

I don't know- I think the brigade getting that far was part luck, especially at first. In the middle & end they were able to save each other, but I don't think they necessarily had control of the game like they think they did. Seems like they just managed to redirect attention elsewhere. So yes it was good and worked for them, but I don't think it was as incredible as they seem to think it is.

I understand your point - I was saying to my mom tonight that it was more of a passive aggressive way to tell her. Rather than come straight out and go, "Hey, Brittney, we've been in a 3-man alliance since Day 2", Enzo (even if it's the way he talks), has to be all "pussyfooting" around the subject, trying to bait Lane into say something *or* be SO obvious that he's trying to tell Brittney about it without coming out and saying anything. That's what bugged me (but I haven't been as big a fan of Enzo for most of the season anyways).

I totally agree with this point - and even though Hayden's come on strong the last few weeks, I really feel that a lot of it was Matt's work at the beginning to keep most of the heat off of all of them that got these three to the end.

AznSAE 09-10-2010 12:15 PM

the most boring season to date in my opinion.
