My parents (and my student loans) paid for room & board and tuition. I paid for everything else-such as dues. I also didn't work during the school year, but in the summers I held 2 jobs and I worked crazy hours in the 6 weeks between thanksgiving and Christmas (my school was off during that time). I also learned to budget well and make decisions such as- do I need every single favor from every event?

Wtf? Something seems very wrong about that. 1000 for dues, but only 3 if you live in?

I was lucky and my Nonna paid for my sorority dues. I probably wouldn't have gone through recruitment otherwise as I wasn't interested in sorority life until I actually experience recruitment through pref night.

Really, there are very few schools where the sororities and fraternities are all housed and all the houses are "tutor" mansions and Scarlet O'Hara style houses .....

... and have both Delta Delta Delta and Fiji ...... where they call it Fiji and not Phi Gam.

But I'm sure it just happens to be coincidence that you used the SMU mascot in your user name.
