I am older then by best friend by two years. We lived next to each and then I move to a different state but I would come back and visit at my old house that my grandparents were living in. Then I moved back and we have been best buds since then! We both have different personalities which makes going out together a ton of fun! We are both very busy so it is hard to find time to hang out.

I met my best friend Amanda in my 6th grade English class. She sat next to me and I remember thinking what pretty long hair she had. I had always wanted longer hair but for some odd reason i always ended up cutting it short. WE began talking one day in class and ever since then we've been best friends.

We have been through good times and bad times. No matter what she has always been there for me, whether it be in the middle of the day or 3 am in the morning. Never once has she turned her back on me and for that i love her like a sister.

Amanda has always been the type of girl to uh.....do goofy things. I wouldn't call her an airhead b/c she is REALLY SUPER smart. But she has done some things that crack everyone up. For example, at prom she REALLY had to go to the bathroom and i accompanied her. Well, i guess she got to the point where she really really really had to go so she just walked into the nearest bathroom door. Well, that bathroom door happened to be the MEN's room and just as she walked in, her crush of 4 years was walking out. He gave her a funny look and she turned red. Poor girl, but seriously, me and my other friends tried soooo hard not to laugh. Needless to say, that was difficult. She didnt get too embarrassed, she laughed so hard afterwards she couldnt believe she actually did that :)

My bestfriend and I have been friends for 17 years this september! We met her 1st day at school. I had started Crofton House in grade 1 and she started in grade 2. I don't really remember much of it because we were only 7 but we played together and went to each other's birthday parties. The cool thing about the school we went to was that it was a private school so we went to the same school the whole way through. It was neat entering our teen years together, and boys and dates and dances and getting our licenses. After graduation we both went to UBC. Even though we were involved in different things (she did go through rush with me but didn't join) we remained good friends and are as close as ever. It neat when we talk about the past because we have different memories and remind each other of things that happened whether it be grade 4 or grade 10 or 2nd year university.

Yay!

I have had the same two best friends for the lonnnngest time. The three of us grew up together and man, we had the best times!!! I met one of them in 1st grade, Jessie, b/c my daddy and her daddy worked together and she lived right down the street from me. The other one, Sara, I met in 2nd grade when her mom and my mom decided to carpool since she lived across the park from me. And then the rest is history! We're still best friends today, regardless of the fact that we all go to school in three different very FAR from each other states, but it's still wonderful!!

Teachers are smart folks!!!!

I met my high school best friend in the 6th grade. She was part of the "popular" group ever since 4th grade, and that group picked me as the scapegoat of the class and teased me mercilessly from 4th thru the 6th grade (we were a self contained Gifted/Talented class, so we just changed teachers together each year). Well, things were absolutely awful, that group sat together at a table (gifted kids don't get desks, we get tables!!! ), and were really exclusive and mean. I guess the teacher had enough of it, and felt really bad for me. So she created assigned seating one day, and sat me and Cindy right across from each other. It was like instant friendship. . .I still don't know how it happened. I didn't become "popular", and she "fell a couple of notches", but the group power was broken, and things got so much better.

Thank God for the teacher with the insight!!!!!! (Her name is Mrs. Mahan)
