I saw that too. I think it's just because they don't know the slightest about their 'fraternuty' and just took the first date Google showed them (which happened to be the founding date of the real Alpha Sigs).

You mean "There" is no attitude towards college and college fraternities. College is "great."

Did you go to college? Please tell me you don't hold a college degree. If you did, I want to know where.

He tends to avoid the questions and comments that he doesn't want to answer. I doubt he'll respond to yours.

And I'd put money on the fact that he didn't go to college. I doubt he even graduated high school.

Yes. I can honestly say that when I come across a really stupid person (especially if that person claims to be a college graduate) my first thought is: Please tell me you didn't graduate from Penn State. I am a proud PSU alumna and it would sadden me to know that such a dumb person was admitted to my Alma Mater. As a Penn Stater, yourself, I'm sure you (and the many other Nittany Lions on here) can agree it is a travesty when people like this claim to hold a degree from a good school.

Robm1093 11-28-2009 10:21 PM

I went to Pennsylvania state University.

Do you mean The Pennsylvania State University? I know you are joking because our standards are MUCH HIGHER than that to let someone of your intellect in. You are furthering the belief that you are mildly retarded by coming back onto this thread and adding your two cents.

If you truly went to college, you would be coming on Greek Chat to learn more about your "actual" college fraternity and NOT your high school "club" that you were a member of around 20 years ago. You need to revert back to the good ole days as a high school student because you have no actual college experience.

Nobody cares about your high school club and it was NOT a fraternity. Alpha Sigma Phi is a well-respected fraternity. Please don't try and tarnish their name with your stupidity.

The best part of his claim is that there is an Alpha Sig chapter at PSU.

And I'm sure he would have had his ass handed to him if he wore his high school letters around Penn State.

Yes, but he is saying that he was in "Alpha Sig" while in high school, not college. I highly doubt he attended Penn State. Have you seen his grammatical errors throughout this thread? I am certain he dropped out of high school. If he didnt, and he did actually attend college, I highly doubt it was Penn State. We don't let just anyone in.

If he is a college graduate, my biggest complaint is that they need to tighten admissions standards. I feel like everyone and their mother can get a college degree, in this day and age. People like this guy lessen the value of an actual college degree (provided he actually has one).

Oh my point is what pshsx1 pointed out. I'm sure he didn't go to college at all, and you are right he probably dropped out of high school.

Only after her announcement that she attended. But, my confusion was who is "we." Is she in a leadership role in the undergraduate admissions office?

No. I do not work in the undergraduate admissions office. When I said "we" I meant as a community. I mean that Penn State does not allow people like this guy into our school. Considering I graduated from there three different times, I consider it to be a big part of who I am. Because I spent so much time (and money) there, I said "we" to mean my school, my fellow Penn Staters and me.

That's one thing I hate about my school... they let everyone and their mother in just for statistics and money, but only about a 4th of every freshman class actually graduates from here and a smaller percentage than that actually stick with their major(s) the whole way through. One of my roommates my Freshman year was one of the DUMBEST individuals I've ever met in my life AND he had a criminal record! He started in the bottom level of every core class here. If you apply to college not knowing how to form one proper sentence, no school of any prestige should let you in.

The degree I'll be getting from my school is beyond excellent, but the fact that they let in people with a 3rd grade education irks me.

Commendable. It's unusual that a university's admissions policy would be directly influenced by current students and alumni.

And I'm glad you're finally admitting your own mistakes. Although, re-typing and quoting your original spelling errors to hide the fact that you can't actually spell the word... that's probably the wrong way to go about it.
