Oh my gosh - poor Epperson. That thing was horrible! I was glad to see him go over Logan (who I have a small crush on!).

Is anyone starting to feel sorry for Christopher? He always gets crucified by the judges. And while I didn't LOVE his dress, I didn't think it was horrible.

I actually couldn't believe they liked that blue dress that Althea made - it was really awful but we hardly saw it in the episode, just when it went down the runway. I thought it was terrible, but they loved it!

I really thought Logan should have gone home. Everything about his vest and pants was awful.

I didn't think Epperson's dress was so bad. The black torso part was pretty; and if it had had a different top portion/sleeve, I think it would have looked very nice.

This challenge reminded me a lot of the weight loss challenge in S4.

I am glad Gordana won. I like her a lot and think she's been pretty underrated this season. I actually thought Christopher's dress was cute! I would have put Carol Hannah's dress in the top 3 over Irina's - I wasn't so crazy about that, even though the judges were. (I thought for sure they were going to pick her for the win)

I really thought tonight's elimination was going to go the other way.

A Question About Previous Seasons
 

As I said earlier, our household doesn't get Bravo so this is the first season I have I watched Project Runway.

A dumb question from the straight guy: As far as anybody knows, has anyone of the designers eliminated in the middle rounds managed to get a contract in the fashion industry? I would hate for some of the people who have been eliminated, Ramon or Louise, NOT to be working in the fashion industry.

Yes, they did. They had to design an outfit for Tiki Barber in Season 4.

I'm so sad they sent home Shirin! I really liked her and I thought Christopher and Logan both did far worse.

I agree!! Shirin hasn't been in the bottom 3 yet (that I believe, so don't quote me on it!) and this was the third time that Christopher had been in the bottom 3.

I really liked Logan's dress. I could totally see Christina A. wearing it on stage. I wasn't a fan of the fur vest he put over it.

I thought Shirin's dress was really fugly. So cheap, dull and 80s looking. Not something anyone would wear on stage to perform in, either, especially Christina.

Christopher's outfit was all kinds of wrong. Weird color combo, the corset wasn't sexy or refined enough, and the two pieces didn't go together.

The thing that sucks about Irina is that she's extremely talented. I don't want to root for her because of her arrogance but her designs are consistently among my favorites. Just look at 'em!

No kidding. I loved her designs, and I really didn't think her dress was *that* bad. The corset/shorts outfit was beyond tacky.

Agreed about the slutastic corset outfit.

Thing is, it wasn't slutastic at all. That's why it sucked. He was designing a STAGE OUTFIT for Christina Aguilerra! If he was going to make a corset, it better be done really well and be really sexy, and that one wasn't. It wasn't even tight-fitted, which is the very definition of a corset. But the reason why they really hated it was because they thought he was trying to copy the Lady Marmelade music video, which has awesome costumes, and since his was a BAD attempt at a copy, it was a massive fail.

I think some viewers are forgetting that they were supposed to be designing outfits for the stage, as in a concert or performance at an awards show. What one wears on stage is way different from what she'd wear on the red carpet.

They've done that for three weeks in a row, IMO. This season is really starting to suck.

This whole season sucks...none of these designers have any kind of point of view. If all the outfits went down the runway and you didn't know who made what, you would have a hard time picking out the correct designer.

There is no Austin Scarlett, Santino, Daniel V., Laura, Uli, Rami, Chris March, Korto, ect. in the bunch...and that's a sad thing. The current cast isn't very exciting to watch either.

Precisely. I really miss the designers of the earlier seasons. Even the suckier designer had SOME point of view! These contestants are really blah. And the ones who had a glimmer of hope of showing their respective points of view, are all gone.

Oh - and Christopher sucks. Shirin - the one I thought had promise to make it to Bryant Park has ONE bad day and she's bye-bye and Christopher is consistently in the bottom. WTF is up with that?

I totally agree w/ everyone's assessment of this sucky season. yeah, Shirin had the One bad day, Epperson had the One bad day (wedding dress) and Christopher is still here....

OMG - Christopher is in the bottom once again and ONCE AGAIN is saved. I do not understand how someone can end up in the bottom repeatedly and still survive another day. I really thought Gordana's was the worst - it showed a real lack of inspiration. At least Logan tried to stretch himself...Also Carol Hannah's ditziness is wearing thin.

Thought for the week...Maybe this show would be better if the judges ( or editing staff) spent more time in their discussions educating the audience on the reasons they are selecting the "ins" and "outs". (They often sound like teenage girls giggling at the loser girl in their home ec class.) I am capable of following the design conversation if it were ratcheted up a notch in complexity.

I would bet money Christopher (or a family member) is greasing someone's palm or he has some "tragedy" in his family that they were expecting all season and kept him on.

Good call. He should have been gone long ago - if they kept him around this long I'm betting he makes it to Bryant Park. <gag>

Quite honestly I don't mind Christopher. I don't think he's as talented as the other designers but some of his ideas aren't bad, just not implemented quite well (if that makes sense).

And seriously what the hell is Irina's deal. To basically claim that Althea "stole" her design, in front of the judges! was just outrageous!!!!!! Is Irina that frickin insecure about herself and her designs that she has to claim that someone stole it. And did you notice Irina's face when Althea won the challenge? OMG her face was like "killer", it basically reeked of the attitude "omg Althea totally stole my design and she won, this is so unfair".

Irina's attitude in the last episode has put her at the bottom of my list. Even though Christopher should be gone, I'd rather see Irina go "the way of the dinosaur" over him. Her attitude SUCKS!!! She's a bitch (and that's a nice way to put it).

Yes, Irina definitely has the Queen Bitch attitude. I like Althea's response to Irina in front of the judges - she didn't get bitchy. Just calmy said the sweater was in her original design. I thought it was a very graceful way not to get sucked into any drama. And, I agree, Christopher is certainly not terrible. It is just ironic that someone who is consistently in the bottom does not get sent home. Seems kind of fishy.

Why should someone need to defend themselves against Meana Irina?

So with it being Althea, Carol Hannah and Irina in the finals, I really, really, really hope that it is Althea or Carol Hannah who wins.

I'm rooting for Althea, but would be very happy for Carol Hannah too.
