Haha, I didn't gather that much, for some reason! I'm so excited to hear about how East Bay has grown. I visited as a consultant last year and I know there were a great deal of concerns among Epsilon Alpha regarding the stability of the system what with all of the administrative changes going on.

Very happy to hear Alpha Phi and Tri Sigma made it happen! I'm sure you will make it to total and keep a stable, healthy and happy Greek system at CSUEB! :)

With both chapters, retention has always been a problem at CSU-EB. Many get homesick and leave school, esp if they are from SoCal. We all need to work on the retention issue

Ladies......If my undergraduate GPA is below the standard GPA requirement for membership (Grad Chapter) but my Graduate GPA is above the GPA requirement and I am currently enrolled in Graduate school, may I use my current GPA when being considered for membership by Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.????????

I don't think your GPA is going to matter when you put a question about Delta Sigma Theta in the Sigma Sigma Sigma forum.

Oh, and nice username. EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I am happy to announce that Eta Xi is going to have a new member class of...

19!

They extended 22 informal bids with only 3 women declining. Once the new members have been initiated, this will put the chapter at 61 sisters - the largest ever the chapter has been since installation in 2002! (There is no quota/total at Ursinus). As a charter sister, I cannot tell you the pride and love I have to see the chapter doing so well and achieving the things we only hoped for 8 years ago!

Congratulations! I love good recruitment news!

According to FB, Alpha Pi has 6 new members.

Alpha Beta is currently doing informal, so stay tuned for numbers!

I am late but....Eta Rho got 17 new members (16 during formal NPC recruitment and 1 COB) back in August. NPC is not having a spring recruitment this year. Eta Rho is currently at 37 members. ( I am pretty sure total is 35)

Alpha Xi

Stopped by Alpha Xi (UW-Whitewater) last night to drop of some goodies for thier Bid Day party. They have 8 new members from the semi-structured informal. Just 3 members short of total of 80.

I posted this pic. in the bid day photo chain, but thought I'd throw it here as well. The Delta Psi chapter received 21 new women today. They are all fantastic women including 1 legacy. I am so proud of these women!

From Facebook, "The Alpha Chapter at Longwood University welcomed 19 lovely new members this semester".

sigmaceli 02-19-2010 03:11 PM

19 - that's so good for Alpha! Woohoo! :) And what a pretty Delta Psi new member class. Seriously, they're all gorgeous women!

ilovetheviolets 02-19-2010 04:57 PM

Sigmaceli...
You're right! The women of Delta Psi are all beautiful, but the best part is that they are all also beautiful inside as well!

sigmaceli 02-20-2010 02:51 AM

I love hearing that our newest women bring the full package - and to add to the 100,000+ women who are already bringing the full package? Amazing!

Always makes me proud to be a Sigma! :)

Alright time for recruitment news from NY...

6 new ladies will go through Arc Degree tonight for Eta Phi!!!!. Recruitment was a huge success this semester. Spring semester is always difficult for recruitment across all greek organizations on campus. They're hoping to get a few more sisters throughout the semester because of open recruitment.

CPC Initiation will happen this Saturday, Feb 27 with TriSigma and Theta Phi Alpha. It is my understanding that Sigmas have the president, treasurer, philanthropy and parliamentarian positions.

St. John ladies are amazing. They got 8 new sisters and are currently working on Installation plans. Although it isn't official, it is possible that their installation will be in April-- fingers crossed! I have never seen a tighter group than these ladies, they really are a true testament of friendship, character and conduct.
