Dear Lynn,
I don't know where and how to say goodbye to you so I guess I'll say it here. I wish you'd gotten yourself checked out last week but maybe it was just your time. I will miss that grin and you always sitting on that big desk instead of in a chair. My puppy loved you. I'm mad at you for going so young! I'm going to reveal to the whole world now that you were the guy under the Dancing Razorback costume the year before you cheered. And as for cheering, maybe Paula M. will forgive you for dropping her on her head. Or not! Maybe she'll get even with you in Heaven. I'm upset and I'm sad but I'm remembering a lot of good times. I'll see you and the rest of the yearbook staff in Heaven someday and we'll make the best yearbook that Heaven ever saw. Till then-- Woooooooo, PIG! Sooie! from 'Patty Hearst' -- now I know you're laughing at me-- |

I may not discount TMZ as readily as I may have before June 25--but if you think it's going to be my primary source of news, you're crazy. |
I am sad and heartbroken about E Lynn's passing. I have been reading his books since I was 15 (I'm almost 30) and his works never let me down. The few times I have seen and met him in person, he was very kind, funny and in love with his fans. The last time I saw him was almost a year ago during our national convention. I would have never thought that I would be seeing his obit yesterday.
Rest in peace, E. Lynn. :( :( ((carnation)) |
A tribute essay about E. Lynn Harris one of my classmates published in the Washington Post.

I also met him once and delighted in his beautiful personality and smile. I went to his booksigning at Outwrite Books in Midtown Atlanta, and he was gracious in meeting fan, signing books, and taking pics with every single one who asked. RIP, E. Lynn |

Why are you so angry? Did you find out your man was on the DL or something? |

I know it's a public message board, but
Did y'all really add all this mess in a thread where E. Lynn's fans are expressing their sorrow and admiration for a beloved author that we lost just this past weekend? REALLY? :(
|
Well, I didn't create this thread solely for sorrow and admiration purposes. I made it to announce his passing and see if the news was accurate.
I wasn't a fan but respect the general notion of him and the fact that he had passed. The rest is par for the course, including carnation's post that was real personal. |

As for the latter comment, if you are going to attempt to insult someone, be witty about it. You're beyond corny. |

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. To chime in on what someone else has said, I certainly hope there is no attempt at saying that Harris died of anything that is considered to be "related" to homosexuality. However, from what I have seen and heard thus far, no one has been speculating in that area. As I mentioned in my previous post, my understanding is that he had a heart attack and that his friends and family think that it was related to why he fainted a few days prior. |

In unrelated news...there is an unconfirmed rumor that teddy Pendergrass is sick in the hospital and his family has been called.
No link or anything as of yet but if it happens....well. |
uh...I feel some kind of way about those kinds of unconfirmed rumors being spread....
