Hostel was terrible! I watched it with 3 other people and when it was over one remarked "that movie was awful! there's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back." Turns out all four of us were thinking the same thing through the whole movie! We could have just turned it off!

That movie with Justin Timberlake-Alpha Dog or something like that I think? I watched about 10 minutes and that was it.

wrigley 05-28-2009 10:46 AM

Girl Interrupted

If my friend hadn't gotten free tickets for it, I would have asked for my money back.

I.A.S.K. 05-28-2009 12:32 PM

Quarantine was aweful! The use of the first person shakey cam feature was excessive and took so much away from the movie. The acting wasnt good. The movie just sucked.

The Mist was so bad that Im still mad at my b/f for talking me in to watching it.

Spiderman 3 was really bad. The b/f talked me in to going to see it in the movies with him and I wanted to die from boredom. I've never watched the cartoon or read the comic books and dont know anything other than what was in 1 and 2, but I was able to predict every single "plot twist". The CGI was good.

The Haunting is the Showgirls of horror movies. Wait, that's an insult to Showgirls, because this turkey couldn't even manage "so bad it's good." The dialogue was so badly written, I felt embarrassed for the actors who had to mouth it.

I'm gettin a little old for that whory look, darlin.

1) Cabin Boy. Also qualifies as a contender in the "Worst First Date Ever" category.

2) Crossroads (the one with Britney Spears. I never have been able to watch it all the way through.

PeppyGPhiB 06-04-2009 01:32 PM

BUMP for Problem Child. I was just reminded of how terrible that movie was.

wolffootball37 06-05-2009 01:45 AM

i dont remember most bad movies i see because they are often forgettable, but one movie i HATED with a deep passion was Waiting. All it was was a Clerks rip off down the the two stoners who were obviously supposed to be Jay and Silent Bob. Jeremy Long already annoys me enough, and Ryan Reynolds ws trying too hard to be witty and sarcastic. I really did not like that movie.

Oh i also tried to watch COLLEGE but turned it off after 10 minutes. Just terrible...

minDyG 06-05-2009 01:58 AM

You guys are ripping apart some movies that I love. Anything with Leonardo DiCaprio (yes, even the Beach) is untouchable IMHO. And how can you say the Departed was hideous? IT WON BEST PICTURE! Sigh.

ETA: Worst movies I've seen include any Fast and Furious film and The Da Vinci Code. Seriously, Tom Hanks?

No Way Out was good.

Fair enough, forgot about that one.

As far as horrible movies go, "Thinner" was pretty terrible (and I'm someone who likes the occasional ridiculous horror movie).

KSUViolet06 06-05-2009 01:34 PM

Add any of those cheesy dance movies to the list. You know, like Center Stage, Step Up, and Save the Last Dance. My little cousins LOVE Center Stage and it's so awful.

Scully 06-06-2009 09:01 PM

I made the horrible mistake of going to see Obsessed with Beyoncé. It wasn't a total waste of 11 dollars, however. It turned out to be a great comedy! I laughed the entire way through.

VandalSquirrel 06-06-2009 09:13 PM

I am in the minority but I really hated A History of Violence and so did everyone else in the packed theatre that day, so I am still perplexed as to how it won an award. The worst scene was the one on the stairs, if you've seen it you know the one I am talking about.

I agree with you on the Beach, I secretly like it, but I would say DiCaprio is off limits. He is an easy target, but unfairly so... With that said, the first Fast and Furious was fairly decent, even with Paul Walker... the rest were trash...

My worst list of movies I unfortunately watched
Meet the Deedles
The Hottie and the Nottie
Die Hard Dracula
Freddy Got Fingered
Willard

I can't name too many, because I usually like movies most do not like... the "worst" movies are usually campy, which I love

Blessed2bDST 06-06-2009 10:27 PM

Lots of stinkers out there but one that always stands out: Leonard Part VI

OMG yes!!!!! I totally tried to block that movie out of my mind. I change my mind and this is the ultimate worst movie EVAR!!!!!!!

I saw Doubt the other night, and although not the worst movie, it still was pretty bad-----although it's a good movie to do an English/Comm analysis! lol

So Authentic 06-07-2009 07:51 AM

I wasted my money seeing the movie "First Sunday." Complete garbage!

jennyj87 06-08-2009 04:47 PM

Perfume.

So weird.

It does have some great ballet dancing in it, though, compared to Julia Stiles trying to pass herself off as one in Save the Last Dance. As someone who studied ballet for 12 years, I could relate to parts of Center Stage. It was just the acting that was bad :p

I liked Doubt. Everyone in my family came to different conclusions about the ending.

I don't think he did anything. I think he was screwing with her head because she was such an enormous bitch.

I don't think he did it, either. But others in my family did. Both characters were pretty unlikable, intentionally...he did little things - like sit at her desk in her own office - that made me immediately think he was a power-hungry jerk.

This thread is so appropriate........ I just finished watching Nick and Norah's Ultimate Playlist. So bad. So stupid. I fast forwarded through the last 20 minutes.

I also want to add Munich and No Country for Old Men to the list. Both were painful to sit through.

I also hate any of those spoof movies.

VAgirl18 06-09-2009 10:21 PM

AI! Just when you thought it was going to end it kept going ... on and on and on. The only cute thing in the movie was the bear. It made me hate Jude Law.

I LOVED NICK & NORAH! I watched with some friends and we laughed our butts off the whole way through. I thought it was hilarious. (but, i love all those kinds of movie--Knocked Up, SuperBad, Juno, etc)

Kevin 06-09-2009 10:44 PM

Punch Drunk Love (Sandler needs to stick to fart jokes)
Fast and the Furious (can't suspend my belief enough to imagine people driving the streets of L.A. in formation).
Any movie with Will Farrell. I have no idea why anyone thinks that guy is funny. Add Chris Katan? x2 bad.

Leslie Anne 06-10-2009 01:55 AM

Syriana

My sister and I left the theatre after about 45 minutes. About half the theatre left along with us. Anyone else hate that movie?

wo, that's hardcore. Even I <3 Huckabee's didn't make me hate him, and that would do it if anything would.

Jude Law as a "pleasure-bot" - best casting ever.

Another two movies that I loved.

PeppyGPhiB 06-10-2009 03:40 PM

Spice World. Discuss.

I.A.S.K. 06-10-2009 04:10 PM

Fighting.
Terrance Howard always looks like a psycho to me. The movie was so boring that after the first 5 minutes I began fast forwarding to get to the fight scenes and even those weren't entertaining to me.

Dance Flick.
We went to see it in theaters and as I suspected it wasn't all that funny. The movie was short as well. We got there at 8:45 the movie probably started at 8:50-9:00 and we were out by 9:50-10:00. It was so bad that we almost forgot we went to see it. We felt compelled to sneak in to see Star Trek to get our moneys worth.
