I voted at 8am and was vote #170 (I waited in line about 1/2 hour)
|
Arrived at 6:50 am and cast my ballot at about 8 am. The wait wasn't bad at all as everyone was patient and in a good mood. We chatted up a storm till it was time to part ways! The poll officers went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and happy. They brought out chairs for us to sit on and kept us informed on the estimated wait time.
|
I was there around 4:00 and was in line for about 20 minutes. When I left, the line had about 20 folks in it. Not bad at all for a small-town district.
|
About 45minutes. The wait was painless...the elderly woman who had trouble reading & embarassed me infront of my neighbors by YELLING OUT MY ADDRESS, not so painless. It was my first time voting at a polling place and voting in the great state of NY! I've been an absentee voter for Florida the last 2 elections due to school.

Took me probably max 15 minutes to wait in line. It would have been quicker but people are stupid. Seriously, when your next in line and the people registering you call "next" your suppose to go up to them, not stay in line.
|
I'm in the Kansas City area and I went right after work at 3:30 and didn't wait in line at all. However, when I passed my polling place on the way to work this morning at 6:45, they were busy and I'm sure I would have had a long wait.

I voted last Tuesday after work and it took 20 minutes
Mr. WinniBug voted this morning, he arrived at the school about 15 min after the polls opened, and an hour and 45 min later he got back home. (The polling location (school) is less than 5 min from our house) |
I voted early, and it took about two and half hours. My husband voted this morning at it took about 35 minutes at probably the busiest time of the day, which in our town seems to be right as polls open.
There's probably a lesson about early voting in this for me. |
In and out in about 15 minutes. I even had time to stop off for my free Starbucks before work!

Errr, I was assuming the polls opened at 7 am like ours. What time did they open? |
I did it in 45 minutes and they have paper which is scanned. This is the 1st time I've voted here and am used to TN which had touch screen electronic voting and was much quicker.

I didn't wait at all. I got dressed for my morning run at 9am, walked 100ft to my polling place, cruised right in, got right to a booth, voted, and was hitting the exit and starting my run in less than 10 minutes.

Voted absentee 2 weeks ago.
At lunch, one of my coworkers packed his laptop and went down to his polling place to vote. He expected a long wait, so he took his work. He was back to work in 40 minutes, and that included the time to walk about 15 blocks each way. The Plain Dealer reported that in Ohio over 1 million ballots were cast early, including about 25% of the registered voters in Northeast Ohio. Over the weekend, there were long lines and about a two-hour wait at the Board of Elections. Most were not bothered by the wait, looking at it as a convenience. |

5 Minutes in line, 10 minutes to vote. Sweet. We had the "fill in the arrow" ballots - weird!
|
I did the early voting and it took me 1 1/2 hours. People were arguing all over the place, but I am glad I went early because there was complete chaos today.
|
45 minutes on early voting last Wednesday.
|
About 5 minutes.
I don't have a class 8th period (Thank You, God!). My principal said that anyone who didn't have a class that period could go ahead and leave early so that we could vote. When I got to my polling place, there were only 2 other people coming in to vote. |
I didn't wait at all! I walked right up to an election judge, checked in and was shown to a booth immediately. Of course, I rushed to the polls at 4pm after work thinking I'd have to battle the crowds since everyone at work reported 1-2 hr waits. Guess everyone went out early!

30 minutes

15 mins at 6:30am
|
No wait at 12:30pm
|
10 minutes at 2:00 p.m.

0 minutes
I sent in my absentee ballot last month |
I was the 58th person who voted in my precinct. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes (I live in a rather new area)
|
It took me 0 minutes because I had to early vote, but the polling place I was observing was awesome. It was a half-hour wait from 7 a.m. until about 8:15, and after that nobody had to wait more than 10 minutes all day. I was very impressed with our chief election inspector and will be sending the election commission a letter telling them how great he was. Everyone was so happy and pleased with how fast the experience was!
|
I didn't. I sneaked out when FIOS installer guy was at lunch (about 2 PM) and there was no line whatsoever.
