ETA: Those toes look like they're in pain!

:( Poor model. It kinda looks like her toenail is bleeding.

So fashion tragedy of the day, seen in front of the library with her boyfriend who was dressed normally.

Teased and curled giant black hair.
HUGE handbag, bigger than her torso, and I was unable to see her top from the sheer size of it. It was black and shiny with tassels, it looked like it had accessory diarrhea all over it :(
Gold lace tiered and ruffled mini skirt.
Cut off denim jorts under the mini skirt, mid thigh, not daisy dukes, with threads hanging off.
Black UGGtype knee high fur boots.

I hate when people wear sandals/open toed shoes with hose! During the summer! With pants! Especially when they're under 80!

WORST. LOOK. EVER.

Yes! It's so old-lady trying to be prim and proper but it's awful.

Nordstrom's house brand (which I can't think of the name of right now) always has a few.

Oh, it's disgusting. I mean, I really hate it. I know another 27-year old who rocks it. WHY?! I wish there really was a Fashion Police to arrest people. I think she's into Ren Faire and cosplay, so maybe that's the connection.

I humbly offer that I can do no justice to this shoe, so it is better that I share what was said from the website where I discovered it.

The Manolo he has the two questions about this:

1) Who did the Betsey Johnson think was the audience for this monstrosity? It is not just gimmicky, it is gimmicky at nearly $300 of the American dollars!

2) Okay, the lips and the domino the Manolo he gets, but what is the up with the rings? Are they to be the earrings?

It is the attention to ridiculous details such as this that makes this shoe a horror for the ages.

KSUViolet06 10-30-2008 12:32 AM

I posted about this in the "Random Wedding Thread" but that is the oldest looking 16 year old I have ever seen.

Hubby looks like he belongs in a "Growing Up Gotti" episode.

Honestly, it's more disturbing to me that "she hasn't seen a classroom since age 9 and wants to be model."

Bizarre.

Yeah, that's just sad.

SOPi_Jawbreaker 10-30-2008 01:00 AM

I kinda like the pony shoe, the purple Mrs. Butterworth shoe, and the gladiator shoe. But then again, I like stuff that's weird and different and quirky and designer-y.

From the looks of her mother, it's genetic. Most girls are done with puberty by age 16.

WinniBug 10-30-2008 11:59 AM

I actually found the article about that 16 yr old fashion victim this morning and thought about posting it before I finished reading this thread!

I love my UGGs (because I live in Ohio where it is FREEZING during winter). However, they are NOT meant to be worn with shorts, skirts, dresses, etc.

No kidding! It kills me to see uggs with shorts. But in the Bay Area ya see it all the time

well, living in a "caravan" has to at least increase their chance of staying together for about 2 years, right? :p

Ok I love Coach as much as the next girl, but I ask the question:

WHY?
http://cgi.ebay.com/COACH-Marian-Bro...d=p3286.c0.m14

Why would you get designer snow boots? You're obviously not going to wear these in the snow (or I will have a heart attack), and WHY ELSE WOULD YOU WEAR THEM?

If you're not going to wear them in the snow, then why are they so fugly?

Why Coach, WHY?

My cousin got a pair of those for Christmas a few years ago. Can a teenager get a pass on this? :p

christiangirl 11-01-2008 10:55 PM

1. I saw a girl today wearing boots that were all fur...she looked like a Clydesdale around the feet.

2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Leona Lewis to death, but I don't understand why she wears brightly colored bra straps that show in her videos. I know people briefly tried to make that popular some years ago, so maybe it's big in England now? IDK, but it annoys me.

sunnyhibiscus 11-04-2008 02:41 AM

I have read on a blog on Yahoo that stripper heels are becoming popular right now. I've spitted out in my drink when I've read that.

christiangirl 11-04-2008 02:56 AM

^^^Okay, so define stripper heels. Clear and silver only or are there other criteria I haven't heard about?

The whole plus size section at target. And does it really have to be next to the maternity section?

Fawn Liebowitz 11-05-2008 05:53 PM

It's really hard to dress appropriately sometimes here in Alabama. It's November, but it's about 78 degrees today. I still don't think that makes it ok to wear Nike shorts with Uggs. Not in any weather. For any reason.

Any use of Uggs that does not involve below freezing temperatures or snow should be banned.
