...Just to clarify the pnms rank the chapters. If a pnm is not invited back to a particular chapter another chapter will fill in the spot if she is on their invitation list.

Excited to see how it turns out! I have very close friends in both Kappa and Theta at USC (and DG and ADPi for that matter...no Alpha Phis though which is ironic) so I am super stoked to see which sorority she ends up in!! Little hijack, but I think the Theta house at USC is quite possibly the cutest sorority house I have ever seen...it's like a little Barbie Malibu Mansion.

I knew a USC Theta too! She just graduated this year though. She's actually the best friend of my room mate from sophomore year (living in the Alpha Phi house!).
She visited our school several times, and if she is any indication of the chapter as a whole, then they are a lovely, intelligent, and friendly group of ladies!

So, the Pref ceremonies are held in the morning, then the girls rank their choices and bids are given out later that night! I got an early text from my cousin saying that she had been invited back to:

Kappa
Theta

Yay for her!! I told her to call me later in the day when she found out her new home!!!


Bids were going to be distributed at like, 6:30 p.m, I think and my cousin is in her room getting ready, when she got a call from her Rho Chi..............

OH No!!!!!

Maybe the Rho Chi's call to say "hey can't wait to see you tonight?"

That's what I'm thinking...

If that's the case and if I were a pnm waiting for the dreaded phone call, and I saw my Rho Chi's phone number on my caller ID, I'd be relieved that she didn't call for *that reason* but at the same time a little upset that I almost had a heart attack at the young age of 18 :p

So her Rho Chi called her to tell her that............

Bid distribution was going to be delayed by 2 hours!!! When she texted me to let me know that, and I asked why, she said that apperantly one of the houses was late in getting their stuff in and that was the delay. Still not sure what the reason was??



Anyways, later that night I got a text from my cousin, and then her mom, to let me know that my cousin is an ecstatic, thrilled, proud new member of....

KAPPA ALPHA THETA!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo!!! Her first choice and she was thrilled!! She called me and I could hear all this yelling in the background from girls opening their bids-it was so cute! She was beyond thrilled and I am of course, so happy for her. And, her roomate also went Theta as well!!

hooray!!

Yay for your cousin and her roommate! The USC Theta chapter is tremendous and I hope they are flying their kites high and enjoying their time there!

"Several" (ahem!) years ago I also went to Kappa and Theta on preference night and have never regretted the result (also my first choice:) Kappa Alpha Theta!!!!
