He's big (in a muscular way). But, he's not bodybuilder big. Personally, I think bodybuilders look disgusting. Nothing is grosser than knowing a man is so vain that he must take steroids to boost his self-image. I personally like the look of a man who spends 5 days a week at the gym and watches his diet to get the body he desires. And, yes, you can tell a difference b/w guys who take steroids and guys who are natural. It's in the shape and the way that the muscles are formed. So, my boyfriend is big but not huge. And, he's cut. I think being cut is more important than being big. In my opinion, nothing is sexier than a defined six-pack. :D

ZTAngel, I totally hear you on the six-pack thing!! It's probably my favorite thing on a guy (closely followed by a killer smile, great eyes, and those super strong arms!) My friends say I'm slightly obsessed! The last guy I dated was this adorable blond who did some modeling for abercrombie...he used to walk around without a shirt all the time, and had this amazing stomach. Too bad he eventually turned out to be an a$$hole...oh well. Speaking of muscular guys, if you've got, flaunt it (please!!!) I live by the beach, so boardshorts and flip flops comprimise a perfectly acceptable daily outfit...and trust me...the girls love it! ;)

Josh...I'll take your word on the sandals, but it would be better if I could actually see them. I guess that the reason why sandals on guys bother me is that most of the guys that I've seen have bad feet, but then again, feet just aren't my thing. hehe. Just keep the feet in good shape, and I'll be fine with it.

Muscles...I don't like skinny guys, but I don't like super-huge guys either. Guys who are toned are cool with me. Nice arms are a turn-on too. Just don't go crazy and try to be a body builder.

I second juniorgrrl about the denim shorts. Ick. Cotton cargo shorts are the way to go.

pbpck, I agree completely with your fashion dont's. No one should be seen in those things, not just guys.

I think that the Abercrombie models look pretty good, both with the style and body type.

But more importantly, the things that I like to see most don't really have to do with the clothes a guy is wearing, unless the outfit is hideously bad. Being well-groomed is very important. Brush your teeth, shave daily, keep your hair nicely cut, take a shower, keep your hands well kept (I notice hands right off the bat). Just be confident and that will shine through.

I prefer the A&F look. My guy has an issue with jeans and won't wear them, so naturally I love to see guys in jeans. I like sweaters in the winter. My opinion on the sandals, as long as the feet are presentable I like guys in 'em. I've grown especially fond of the guys flip flips from A&F & the like. As for hair, I like that sorta geled look, where it's messd up & spikey right in front. I guess I can sum up my entire prefered look by telling you to check out the A&F catalog. Nice bodies, good clothes, groomed well...

Going to school in SD as well, I totally understand the living in Reefs concept.

As for smells....Honestly, the smell of Old Spice deodorant is amazing. It's that GUY smell. This in combination with the fresh laundry smell of a guy's clothes has a bigger effect on me than colognes. But Curve for men and A&F smells are great. They're really warm scents.

Ok, so how does everyone feel about tatoos on guys?

My boyfriend (who is a KA-whoohoo! :D ) has one on the top of each arm. He also has one on the inside of his top arm. The one on his right arm is a design with the Chinese symbol for success, and the one on his right arm is a design with a KA in it. The one on the inside of his right arm is the Chinese symbol for friendship. He has really nice arms (but not bodybuilder like!), so they look hot. I'm not a big fan of tons of tattoos. Especially cartoon-like things. Yuck.

The one thing I *HATE* that college guys (and girls) do is wearing shirts that say "American Eagle", "Abercrombie," etc....
I think that they are majorly tacky. I call them"Billboard shirts." I always thought that if you are going to wear nice clothes, people should be able to recognize them by the style and the cut, not because the name plastered across the front.

As far as men's style goes, it's kind of unrealistic for college guys, but Brian from the Showtime program Queer As Folk has got it going on!! He's very, very classy! Suits, dress pants, tailored looking shirts...mmmmm....

About the tattoo's I don't think that they're totally bad as long as they're placed in the proper location. I have never really been one for tattoo's but as long as its not too big and the guy isnt covered in them they aren't too bad.

I do agree about the American Eagle, Abercrombie, Gap etc. shirts. I mean do we really have to have these companies plastered aross our chests?? They are mjorly tacky. You can dress in nice clothes and people will still probably know where the clothes came from w/o having the company printed all over you.

As for the whole style for guys issue, I think they should just wear what makes them comfortable. Their style should be their own.

Well before I answer the question, the turleneck thing really, I think it depends on the guy. Some guys can wear them and look really nice, some nope.
As for the question at hand. Guy Fashions, if it's a normal typical day then the whole Khakis, Jeans, Polo shirts, Baseball Hat wearing, good clean cut smell(like Ralph Lauren Romance or Tommy H) Smelling good is apart of looking good to :) You know the preppy/sporty college look. I am feeling it fellas, cause it looks goood.
as for the question about muscles, you know being cut is nice, and being fit is nice too, but if you are rippling with soo many muscles that you walk funny, then nahh not cute at all.
But I am sure, if you have a cool personality then what you wear or how you wear it will be suave regardless ;)

Last year, I was in my room getting ready for a date. About six different sisters had let me raid their closets, and I was putting much thought into what I should wear. The plan was dinner at a pretty nice restaurant, but it was really hot out, so I settled on a skirt and tank top. As I was finishing up, a sister walked into my room and said the following:

"Your date is here...and he is wearing capri pants!"

What was he thinking???

uhhh . . . is that really bad? Will someone explain why to us fashion challenged individuals? That went right over my head . . .:)
