Very creative. I like that.

I guess I also didn't get the same memo that he did, that service orgs who have a 'sidekick' past are supposed to be ashamed of it (or have all their actions give the appearance that they are ashamed). ;)

You nor your buddies are in any way, shape, form or fashion interested in membership. So spare me.

Your correct about the aspirant comment, though. And when any aspirant, respectfully, asks questions about GBX, I and any brother will be more than happy to answer their questions.

Well dang. Maybe I did want to join, but I sure don't want to now.

Senusret I 08-28-2008 03:47 PM

No, we're interested in whether you can be honest with the general public about the auxiliary organization, then fraternal order you spun off from. The initial question was asked respectfully but when you gave evasive answers is when the problems started.

You're doing too much. Nobody is honestly checking for GBX like you'd like to think they are.

Hush now, you have long since risen up from your shameful past. No one must ever know!

:p

No shame in it. As Senusret said, organizations spin off of older ones for one reason or another. If you're doing good work now and you are up front with the truth of your past, more power to ya.

ferrus_manus 08-28-2008 03:54 PM

If it's not public information, then say so.

My responses have said as such. But maybe I should spell it out.

Which I guess is why I'm having so much trouble understanding why you are playing this so coy.

Why do you care? At the end of the day, what possible difference does it make to you?

Caring about GBX and enjoying the challenge of investigating fraud are two very different things.

All these years on GC and I still haven't learned that discretion is key. :p

We're actually pretty proud of it, since instead of folding as an organization we grew and adapted. I think it's pretty fantastic, never occurred to me to be ashamed of it until today, trying to figure out why one would be.

Yes, you should spell it out, because your responses have not said anything other than you think you are above participating in a conversation. You aren't doing yourself or your organization any favors by trying to be sly. At the end of the day, I'm just a girl proud to be in a service sorority, and this is just a website where people can make themselves look sillier than they need to.

Yes I am above answering foolish questions.

What's sly exactly?

I agree with the last sentence 100%. Some of your buddies should take notice thereof and govern themselves accordingly.
