Oo oo! And I just thought of one!

I remember UHF channels! Party peeps? You with me? Getting up, walking across the room and then whizzzzz flipping that channel dial really fast to get to the one you want and your Dad yelling at you from behind to not turn it so fast.... ah, getting up to change the channel... good times.

You kids know nothing about hardwork and struggle.

And then we had to push that dang thing home!

The one that blew my mind the most was the GPS system. I still don't have one, don't want one, and would rip it out of my car if it came standard!

The typewriter... Several sisters tell me that they always slept peacefully during my senior year, because they knew that I'd be up most of the night, typing papers. I had 17 papers due a week that term, and was constantly trying to make one paper fit for two classes! I still use wite-out, though - for letters!

The boy (who works at a college) sent me that list, with "See what I have to deal with?" on it. I replied that I AM Carmen SanDiego!

Ditto. And I had NEVER felt old until one of my little girls at summer camp asked me, "What's a Spice Girl?"

I'm old too...

When phone calls were 10 cents at a pay phone that Clark Kent would change into Superman...

Changing lightbulbs... LOL

And to send a gottdayum letter cost only 20 cents for a gottdayum stamp!!!

And who was on the FIRST Dream Team? And MJ was Black with smaller nose with a burn scalp from a Pepsi Commercial... LOL.

Where's the one for Class of 2011??

I was in a conversation about George Burns. Two younger guys-high school students-entered our group. I made the comment, "You know who George Burns is right?" Answer-"Yeah, he's the guy on the Simpsons."

That was eight years ago.

True story:

I was away in Moscow when George Burns died and nobody told me until six months later. I was too pissed.

I think these lists are insulting to college students. It just assumes that they never took the time to find out anything about the world other than what was plopped on a plate in front of them. Not to mention the regional differences.
