Tom, you're so unbelievably obtuse! No one in this thread suggested that they didn't care about our troops. It's the stupid red shirt idea that's the problem. (Well, that and the cheap sentimentality associated with it.)
Personally, I prefer actively doing something rather than being concerned with my wardrobe. _________ Thanks to Tinia2 for the links. |
Earp,
Ditto what Leslie Anne said. Also, Wearing a red shirt in the US can get you killed. It is often associated with Gang Colors and if you show up on gang-turf, consider yourself an open target. On second thought Tom, wear red. |

How do you say P((( off!???? If none of you want to, then dont and quite bitching about it? I or the post never said you have to! It was just a suggestion only! I have never seen so many pisses and moans out of the same mouths that you try to talk out of. You as AlphaFrog and others would rather complain about any and everything!:o Oh AF, I have a plumbing problem do you have a wrench and travel? S & G TPU! OH, BTW, have a swell day! Did I spell everything right? Just trying to make sure everything is OK! |

Quit is spelled "quit." You need to drop the "e."
It is an alright post, but I agree just wearing red is not enough. Me wearing a red shirt in Po Dunk USA is nice for me to know personally why I'm wearing red. However, unless I wear a sandwich board saying "red is for the troops" everyone will think I am just wearing a red shirt. It is like wearing pink for breast cancer. It is nice to show support, but just wearing a colored shirt is not doing anything. If we all want to show support, go out and do something; don't just wear a certain color. |
^^^^BTD, where have you been?

Hey! Planning a wedding, moving schools not once but 3 times..setting up my classroom. Gearing up for football season of course. ;)

OMG I have to find that for my fiancé. He is a boob guy (TMI I know, but I figured I would throw that in there for relevance).

Lol, I want a "Save the Tatas" shirt! :D I have no problem supporting troops. Wearing red every Friday won't bring them home safely or give their lost ones life again, but if it was like a national day of solidarity, then I'm down. That's not the overkill part for me--comparing soldiers to Jesus?
Now, where's that overkill? Oh...over there. Nice try, Earpie. I look forward to the next one. |
