Recruitment is definitely worth the experience not matter what the result. So go for it and have fun!
Why not go out on a limb - that is where the fruit is!

My sorority for example is both in one. I also wouldn't join two organizations: too much and you'll get spread too thin.

As we aren't an NPC sorority, my sorority is for women in science and engineering and I know "professionalism" is an additional pillar, another thing our group concentrates on. These types of sororities exist for nearly every major.... just something if you decide NPC isn't for you.

The main thing is to give it a shot, because you'll never know otherwise.

Actually, I've been reading the "Weird Recruitment" stories thread, and I'm pretty confident that I'm not going to write "Eat Me" if we make shirts to give to children as a philantrophy event. And I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to go "LOL I'M TOTALLY FOR LIKE, ABC!" at XYZ's recruitment party. Haha. ;)
