There is a picture on the DG web site of their meeting room and they pay rent to the U for it. In our lexicon, that qualifies...

suites

My friend who has a daughter there says suites or lounges were in the works for next year - maybe DG is the first to get their suite up and running. I can't rememer the amount but there was a hefty amount that each chapter had to commit.

Well, UR recruitment started yesterday!
Apparently there are no suites-- the chapters hold their parties at the fraternities, which have chapter houses.
It would be AWESOME if they really were in the works for next year!

I *believe* the PNMs visited all 6 NPCs yesterday. Today is a day off, and they receive their invites back on Thursday. After having doubts first semester, she said yesterday went really really well and she was definitely pleasantly surprised!

From the University of Richmond website:
The Greek system at Richmond is non-residential, which means that participants live in regular campus housing among other students while fulfilling their sorority's or fraternity's mission of scholarship, service and leadership. Fraternities have lodges where their meetings and socials are held. Sororities have meetings in University meeting rooms and socials both on and off campus.

Meeting rooms = classrooms/conference rooms. The last time I checked (summer 08), there were no plans for individual suites for the sororities.

Well, bid day was awhile ago and she is THRILLED with her choice. I did post a recruitment story about it in the recruitment section, but it is under an alias I use for recruitment stories, b/c I promised her that I'd keep it completely anonymous. Feel free to PM me if you'd like me to tell you which one it is :)

well then, here's my sign!(although i am going to blame it on the meds. i am on for my sinus infection;) ) i am glad to hear that your friend had a successful recruitment.
