Right after my 30-minute walk, I realized I locked myself out of the house. So add to the walk, dragging out the 20' ladder, climbing the ladder, popping the screen and crawling into my second-floor bedroom.

I think this qualifies for cross-training.

^^^ What an adventure, Benzgirl :D

Today I did intervals on the elliptical machine for 45 minutes, then spent some time on abs.

I worked out with trainer for 1 hour this AM-weight training then ran 3 miles this evening.

Guaranteed...it's never dull around my house (and no arrests)

I carried 20 lbs. of camera equipment 1/4th a mile and then up three flights of stairs. Not much, but it was that WAS my exercise.

I purposely parked further away from the door to the dentist's office so I could walk across the lot. With my root canal, that's the best I could do today. I'm going dancing tomorrow but, for today, that's what I've got. :o

Benzgirl, that's why I leave a spare key with the neighbor!

I am trying to fulfill my 10,000 steps a day (Alpha Gam Walkto2010 1,000 mile challenge) but I'm trying to get my ankle to heal after slightly straining it. I'm averaging 7k-8k steps until it gets healed.

ThetaDancer 07-26-2008 11:37 AM

I think that the Alpha Gam Walk to 2010 is such a great idea!

I had a pilates class this morning, bright and early.

DeltAlum 07-26-2008 12:21 PM

I left the control room and walked to the cafeteria for lunch, discovering they had moved the grill outside, so I had to walk another 50 yards or so. Then I walked back to the studio.

After a quick power nap, I was as good as new.

An hour on the treadmill this morning!

DoctorD 07-26-2008 12:54 PM

an hour of bodypump, 1 mile on the treadmill [3/4 of it running], 2 miles on the elliptical, and 4.5 miles on the bike. It felt good to be back at the gym after a week at the beach :)

VandalSquirrel 07-26-2008 04:19 PM

I walked around a lot yesterday, missed yoga due to work and having to go pick up VandalShyster's birthday cakes. We have a tradition of getting tiny little dessert cakes and sharing them so we can have a variety but not too much sugar/fat/calories. I did a lot of housework in the morning though, and moved a couch and tv.

I do think I'm going to register to become a yoga and pilates instructor. The classes are in September and then I can get paid to work out.

I think we're going to Costco today, that counts as walking around, right?

Great thread!

1 hr of water aerobics at my gym. This was my first time at this location, and the instructor might be the toughest and most serious water aerobics instructor ever. Hubby and I also shopped in a huge retailer and a huge farmer's market, so we did a lot of walking. I'm officially wiped out.

christiangirl 07-26-2008 06:22 PM

Today, I went with my f&f's to the animal planet exhibit at the fairgrounds. I did 2.5 hours of walking and playing with the kids!
