Definitely not because teen pregnancy in other communities isn't blamed on popular culture but instead a pathological community. :)

yeah really!

I have nothing to add to this thread except I agree with you and DSTCHAOS

I heard about this story just about at the same time I saw an ad for a new reality show.
The show, IIRC the name correctly, is Baby Borrowers.
Seems as if they give young couples real young kids to take care of.

Have seen only the ad, but could be a rather good eye opener for some.

I thought we were going to ignore the obvious and not go THERE. :p

Hmmm...part of me wants to think that the 24-year old homeless guy is just some hippie who couch surfs between friends and relatives, and not an actual bum.

Stunt baby?

I agree w/ DSTChaos though, I don't think you can blame Juno or Jamie Lynn for this, teenage girls have been doing dumb things to get love for a couple millenia now.

Just saw CNN-seems as if he is homeless person.
That thought alone makes me wonder about this whole matter even more.

Referencing Juno here is hilarious, to me - you'd really have to ignore the last 30 minutes of the movie here.

Past that, I really don't care - this doesn't seem surprising or even really troubling. Stupid moderately-privileged kids do stupid shit then get on the news for it? Stop the presses.

Hilarious, true and sad, yet funny

im pulling a race card here: would this even be a story if these girls (or the school/neighborhood) were not white? Because these same girls who are looking for love and think having a baby to raise is all fun times and giggles and even get pregnant with their friends to raise babies together--would probably be on Maury and made a spectacle of.

Those people on Maury can't keep their legs closed.

There wasn't a spoiler. :)

I hope the parents of these girls make them actually raise the babies, if they keep them, and don't let them get away with birthin' 'em and moving on with life. If there's anything to get out of this sucky situation it's a lesson!

Nothing was said in this thread that can't be seen in the previews - so don't worry, the movie wasn't spoiled. Watch it, it's a good movie.
