The Supreme Court by a vote of 7-2, the Court held that the Florida Supreme Court's method for recounting ballots was unconstitutional, and by a vote of 5-4, the Court held that no alternative method could be established within the time limits established by the Florida Legislature.

Fixed again. There's a difference between this and what you posted. That 5-4 decision stopped the recount.

Amnesty International using Bush's image is one thing - they are a political organization - but if his image is being used to sell consumer goods, positively or negatively, he should be compensated.

Yup, two of the lib justices thought the biased FL court should be given free reign to decide the election, and the other 2 figured they could make something up which would fix the blatant constitutional problems while still giving Gore the election.

He's not my President. I look at him as a dictator, no better than Idi Amin, Fidel Castro, or Saddam Hussein.

Yes, he is. You don't get to pick and choose which President is your President.

Americans who feel this way are silly in their own right. But they can keep that silliness to themselves without celebrating when other countries take jabs at our leaders (and at America, in general).

No, he isn't. He didn't get elected. Just as there were British who were still loyal to the crown while it was in exile, I do not recognize the legitimacy of this administration.

I know, I totally forgot about that time a member of my family spoke out against Bush and we found his head on a stick outside our home the next day.

But, thankfully in this country (unlike those ruled by the people you mentioned), we're allowed to say pretty much what we want about fellow citizens and leaders. For example, I consider you to be among the worst elements of American society.

Well, look forward to more dicktoters in the future. The next dicktoter may be Obama, Clinton, or McCain. None of you know whether the next elected leader will fulfill promises or drop the ball.

So instead of putting all of this faith (and criticism, when isht hits the fan) in these leaders as if they are the end-all and be-all, citizens need to multitask: Exercise our right to vote and express opinions WHILE working toward change in our respective communities.

/there, I said it....

Hillary can't be...she let someone else tote hers....

if she can't be trusted to be her own dicktoter...then how can we trust her as POTUS?

Yeah, he is.

And if you decide not to engage in this back-and-forth, please don't announce that you "agree to disagree." :)

Actually no, I spoke out against Jr. and I was put on the No Fly list and I had to get my lawyer to challenge it. As did several high ranking Democratic party officials, all for absolutely no reason other than the fact that they didn't like him. While he isn't overtly violent, Bush Jr. has and can use subversive tactics to pressure people to be quiet, discredit them...
