I kinda just want to pat people on the head. Oh so passionate and so smart for such new people to the boards.
Kinda makes me want to ask what they think of the book Pledged, and whether or not sororities and fraternities are really like those shows, you know, the ones that were on MTV?


Fight on, young ones. Keep up the good fight against all those who strive to make your Greek experience less meaningful.

I would be willing to bet that if you visited a top-tier house at one of THE greek schools in the south (Ole Miss, Bama, maybe UGA) you'd agree with me pretty quickly too. I'm fine with you all having the same letters/rituals as us, but to argue that your greek systems even come close to having the pull on campus, selectivity or atmosphere as ours do would be foolish.

It is a whole different beast down here and thats why, at times, we laugh at the fact that other chapters think they are "fratty".

It's a running joke down here that you can't stereotype organizations as a whole because every group has good houses and every group has bad houses - and most of them are in the North.
