DoubleRose, I would recommend you also do a search on this forum regarding Legacies being cut. As you will find out, many legacies are dropped early on, but I can't speak for UW's Alpha Gam chaper. As much as I too want your daughter as a sister, I would want you to be prepared in advance if that happens.

The software that my campus uses only reveals legacies to the legacy chapters. If the PNM wants to share with a chapter that she is a legacy to another chapter, she can.

At schools where recs are necessary and chapters could fill entire pledge classes with legacies if they wanted to, the chapters find out if they are legacies elsewhere because the rec forms ask if the PNM is a legacy at other chapters (Sigma Kappa's does, and I am sure others do too). I doubt that recruitment is THAT competitive at UW that being a legacy would hurt your chances elsewhere, but if you're nervous about it and your daughter gets recs to other chapters, you might politely ask your rec writers not to list the AGD legacy.
