Yes, SOL stands for Standards of Learning....meaning every child, regardless of IQ or educational placement, is held to the same standards as every general education student in the same grad. As a former teacher of Autistic children, let me tell you.....it's virtually impossible to get them to match colors let alone pass an 8th grade SOL. If the entire school doesn't pass at a certain level, the school can lose funding.....
We teachers say they stand for what you are if you (or your students) don't pass them....Sh** out of Luck!!!
