Ahh, now I'm getting scared reading about the cartilage problems http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif

I have my cartilage pierced and my tounge. I love both of them. If any one is considering getting thier tounge pierced, I say go for it. I was so easy. It hurt like hell for about two days then nothing. It was completely fine. It gives me something to do in class, and in other situations.

I already have my ears pierced two times in each ear, and I want to get my cartilage pierced and the piece of ear cartilage that pokes out by your temple. (Several girls have that done and it looks really cute.) This summer I am going with one of my sisters to get my tongue pierced and belly button pierced. I am nervouse about what my mom will say though. She told me I could get a tattoo but NO TONGUE PIERCING!!

when i had my cartilage pierced, it didn't hurt at all! it never once bothered me or became infected or anything - maybe i'm just lucky - but newbie - i wouldn't worry! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

What is that chin thing people have going on - I think its totally disgusting because it looks like a big zit or something, and then you look again and its pointy or whatever. ugghhh - and how do you pierce that part? Through your mouth I guess - dunno. I have double pierced ears - mom about died when I got the seconds (even though I was a junior in college!). I would like to have a belly button ring (but my belly isn't ready for that yet - I have some shrinking to do first!) Heard funny stories about pregnant women and belly button rings (I just love the phrase "Belly Button" -- how cute it sounds!) I would love to have my tongue pierced, but I am a big huge sissy when it comes to pain. I am really swamped at work -- have been since I walked in the door Monday - yet I have time to mess around and come here to chat -- we need to set up a GC fund to assist our friends who get fired for being on GC too much at work! YIKES! I'd be first in line! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif |
I have my ears pierced and my tongue pierced. I had my ears done when I was like 4 or 5 yrs old. I got my tongue pierced 2 years ago. I love it. It did hurt like hell for a couple of days and I couldn't eat anything solid for a week. But it's all gravy now http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I kinda want my navel done, but I'm being a big scaredy cat about it. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif

I've had my ears pierced three times ...and that is just in the "normal place" when I was 5 I was wrestlin' and my earings kinda got rippied outta my ears...then they were done again and I let them grow over...then the last time they were peirced I wore these gold hoops for so long and they were so heavy (and from my first earring mishap) oone of them tore through my ear and fell out. My ear is still kinda torn....
I had the cartiledge done in one ear and I sympathize with everyone who has had probelms...first time I changed it it was bleeding so much and hurt so much I decided to just drive the earring in...and you guessed it...kinda torn something up there. From time to time it still hurts. After all this trouble you would think I would stop, but until recently I wanted a tounge ring. Went with my (real) little sis and saw it done. Thanks but no thanls! I'll stick with tatoos! I know they are permanent, but they are addictive! I have two now! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ Sarah Sister Lots-a-Heart, #9 President, Iota Beta Chi Sorority http://welcome.to/iotabetachi |

The septum is the middle part of your nose. That doesn't really hurt too much either, it just stings. I just got tired of both piercings, so I took them out. Piercings were just a phase that I went through. So I got it out of my system, for the most part. I have my cartilage pierced, and I have double holes in my ears. The first holes are stretched, and it's not too drastic or extreme, so I'm going to keep them. |

That's so funny! Hey, we're not TOO far away (I'm in MI)...I was actually out your way last weekend (Towson to be exact). Getting my tongue pierced wasn't bad. It didn't hurt going in at all. It was the AFTER that was the killer. But as long as you eat a lot of ice, you'll be fine http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif How was the navel piercing? |
It makes me cringe when I read about the cartilage problems that some of you have had. I have three piercings in my ears and my left cartilage pierced, and I've luckily never had problems with any of them. I've never had a desire to get anything on my face pierced, but I think it looks good on some people, or suits them I guess. One girl in my sorority has her eyebrow pierced and it does not look good. She holds a very high position on our e-board. Do you think it's appropriate to ask her to take it out during rush?

I have 3 holes in each of my earlobes and i really want the cartilage pierced. I also have my belly button pierced, it did not hurt bad at all. i got it done in september and its been completely healed since mid december. I do really want my tongue pierced but my mom told me NO MORE HOLES!!

My little sister (blood) is getting her ears pierced for the first time tomorrow! She's almost 10...it's a family tradition to get them done when you turn 10 but she's getting her's early so she can play soccer in the fall and not have to worry about taking them out. Collective *AAAAWWWWWW*

Piercings are cheap, and make you look like a tramp. Don't yell at me about my opinion...the first line of the first post is 'what do you think about piercings?'. That's what I think. So there.
