They didn't get my PIN number, they just used it as a credit card and no one asked for ID. They signed my name, even though it was clearly a GIRL'S name on the card and they were two guys. Urgh...:mad:

After a tire blowout on the freeway last month, racking up my minutes on the cell and getting a $300 bill in the mail, paying my car insurance and credit card bills this month, AND changing my brakes this weekend. I will be officially broke.

At this point, I am seriously considering donating my eggs.

I've made it clear to all my friends and family that NO ONE will be getting a Christmas present this year until AFTER CHRISTMAS.

After throwing a huge Christmas party for tons of my sisters, buying Christmas present, eating out tons to 'celebrate' before break, and paying bills for all of this month before I leave, I am DEFINITELY looking forward to selling my books back! Too bad I'll only get like $.05 on the dollar. :(

That's how I got my tuition paid off this semester. And, when I get my money back from the school I can get the rings back.

I don't think I could part with my jewelry!! Besides, I'm on Dad's payroll for tuition & bills, it just gets a little un-fun when I've got no other money...I love to eat out and that adds up!! I'm learning to budget better, though, which is good since second semester dues need to be paid (by moi!) as soon as we get back from break!! :)

Oh yes, eating out frequently will put a hole in your pocket book quicker than anything. Maybe, that should be my new years resoulution, EAT AT HOME!

The brokest I've ever been: right now.
I owe my parents soooo much money. I got a speeding ticket a few months ago and didn't have the money for the lawyer fees. Owe my parents money for that. I have a few credit card bills that they loaned me money for when I realized I had only $2.43 in my checking account. :eek: I was going to stay up in Orlando for Winter Break but my job up there wasn't giving me enough money nor enough hours. So, I had to come home and go back to my old job which pays very well but has me working about 40+ hours a week. :( I get free food but it'll be lonely!

That's so sad! I definitely think that you should contact the police and TRW and other credit reporting companies. Identity theft is a major crime that occurs to people in your position. All someone needs is your name, address, and Social Security number and they can open new accounts and your credit is ruined. :eek:

I'm not really sure how I understand how to go about that. Identity theft is something that I am very worried about. They have everything. What is TRW? As far as the police, I have filed all the reports and notified all of my credit card companies.:confused:

I wont get my first paycheck from my new job (yay lifesaver) till a few days before christmas, and all the cards have been maxed, i have been reduced to selling plasma for $45 a week to cover gas and food. I think i am with OTW on the no-one is getting jack till january for the holidays.

Funny addendum, apparently most of my chapter is really broke right now as well. Especially our NM's, because I was waiting to donate plasma today and in walks about 15 of our NM, along withmost of their girlfriends. They all donated, and did so because initiation fees are due this week. I think they came up with most of the money. Cool, making your GF give plasma to help you pay for initiation. Now THATS college. ;)

Ok, maybe this is a stupid question, but is giving plasma and giving blood the same thing? I didn't know that they paid you to give blood....

Nope, its not the same thing. When you donate blood, you donate WHOLE blood, red cells, white cells, plasma, etc. When you donate (or sell) plasma they take a pint, spin it through a centrafuge, pour off the plasma and return you your red blood cells. you can do it two times a week. Usually, plasma collection is done not at a blood and tissue center, but by a private company that just collects plasma for the creation of pharmaceuticals. Thats how they can pay you for it.

On a side note I dunno where this belief system of "donating" blood came from. I dunno why they dont pay people for it. supply and demand, then we'd never hear them going on TV telling us how dangerously low our supplies are. Just charge and sell the stuff. It would definately fix the shortage problem.
