Okay, Sorors-
After spending the past 3 years in the Germany Alumnae Chapter, we finally got word that our next duty station will be Fort Knox, Kentucky, so I will soon be a Mighty Midwest Soror! I am a native New Yorker and it was hard enough leaving there to Texas, then Texas to Germany, now we are moving again to yet another destination. I have not really heard much good about this part of Kentucky, but always one to look for the silver lining, I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences or suggestion they care to share about the alumnae chapters there or their expeiences. We are scheduled to arrive in Kentucky the first week of July, so I'm trying to hit the ground running. Work wise I am in the mental health field (MA in Counseling Psychology) and am prepared to travel. I looked on the Mighty Midwest website for chapter info, but didn't get much and the links that I was able to find on Google were inactive. I will keep looking on my end, but any insider info I could get from my fabulous Sorors would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
P.S
For those of you on GP, yes, I'm the same Mighty Quinn-LOL.

I'm glad you are finally making it back to the States! I'm doing a happy dance!

I'm not sure yet. I think I'm going to a wedding in Jersey that weekend.
Meant to tell you I ran into your Prophyte ('94 Cyn) a couple weeks ago at a conference in B'more.

Well, if you do decide to go to the Convention hit me up on GC and maybe we can meet up.

Theta Up didn't have a line in '94; we had a line in 92, 93, then my line in '95. I was thinking maybe she pledged a different year, but I don't know a Cynthia from my chapter.

Hi Soror Quinn! You have clearly moved to the state I pledged in. The Kentucky sorors are the bomb. I pledged at Murray State University-Eta Upsilon Chapter. The sorors in the Louisville,Lexington and Paducah Alumnae chapters are the ones I have been around on a regular basis and they are great, but I know Fort Knox Alum will welcome you with open arms. Welcome to the Mighty Midwest Region Soror.

MightyQuinn 03-28-2008 02:55 PM

Thanks!!!

Do you have websites for Paducah and Bowling Green Alumnae chapters?

And, thanks for the warm sororly welcome!:D

Paducah Alumnae does not have a website as far as I know but i have some names and numbers of sorors I can give you if you would like. Also my LS is now a member of Hopkinsville Alum and she probably has way more info about bowling green Alum than me since I live in Chicago now. Let me know if you are interested I will get more info for you.

My bad, I thought I read somewhere that she was a soror.

No I (a female) am not affiliated with any organization. I was being somewhat positive by saying that she will at least have her sorority sisters there to help her out. I was speaking as a Soldier who has been to the post, not about your sisterhood.

Well, I guess I didn't, since I found your post to be a downer--"somewhat positive?"
