Go Sigma Kappa and UCI!

UofISigKap 11-19-2008 10:18 PM

I'm not so subtle huh? ;):p

Nah, the three foot purple letters didn't give anything away. ;)
I wish I was closer to a new colony so I could be involved. I keep hoping for a recolonization at the college about ten minutes away from my house. No such luck.

BetteDavisEyes 11-20-2008 10:37 PM

To add to our excitement, it looks like we were selected to colonize at Clemson as well. Our first South Carolina chapter! YAY!

Wow yay! FIU, UCI, and Clemson should keep us plenty busy. FWIW, we had a chapter at the University of South Carolina in the 30s I believe--Beta Beta.

I am so jazzed about Clemson! How awesome! We're on fire, ladies! <3

BetteDavisEyes 11-26-2008 07:49 PM

It's on the National Website now so that's cool. I was playing around and it said that information regarding the colonizations will be posted sometime in the next month. :)

Quick Question

Are you set for Clemson and UCI this spring 2009? ---or next school year 2009-2010? Question only because through NPC we had heard this spring 2009.

BetteDavisEyes 01-08-2009 01:24 AM

UCI will be this spring (starting next month, I believe). As for Clemson, I'm not sure of the details on that colonization yet.

Hope you all don't mind me jumping in to say hello! I hear your FIU colony is doing well - I was the Extension Committee co-chairperson, and it makes me happy to know that my Greek community made a fabulous choice for our future! Just wanted to show some Tri Sigma love for Sigma Kappa!

lavendarlace 02-16-2009 03:18 PM

What are the updates on Irvine and Clemson? I believe UCI had 62 women go through formal pledge. I read in another thread it was 128? for Clemson. That is incredible! :D

Does anyone know chapter total at UCI and Clemson?

UCI- Quota last year was around 40, but at that time there were only 8 NPC groups. This coming fall there will be 10.

By adding Sigma Kappa, Clemson will have 11 groups. They seem to have plenty of women go through recruitment though!

Looks like Miami of Ohio might be expanding again..... that would bring them back up to 18 chapters again after losing tridelt earlier this year. anyone know how the voting turned out?

http://media.www.miamistudent.net/me...-3728773.shtml

interesting to see if they voted yes who they will choose....it seems practically ever organization has been there at one time or another...such a strong greek community!

Did Sigma Kappa present there? I wasn't aware we were presenting anywhere at this time.
