i think i stayed at the days inn nashville that's on this list, and i am staying at a ramada next month (tallahassee)... I don't think i've ever stayed at a ramada and now i'm not very excited about this. :(
my normal hotel for personal travel or if i'm at a conference and have a choice with lodging is embassy suites (a hilton property), doubletree ('cause i get cookies!!!!!), any marriott hotel and even la quinta. never had a problem at any of these places across the U.S. i wish i had ritz-carlton money! |

[quote=AKA_Monet;1610759]It was "Motel Hell" that was a splatter movie in the 70's or 80's?
I think we must be the only two people who ever saw this movie! Isn't this the one where the desk clerk chases the guests with a chain saw (while wearing a pig head) and then makes them into the world's best sausage? |
This is why if I'm going to do a chain hotel, I stick to my Hilton or Marriott. They're always clean and nice.
No motels for me. They scare me. I once had to stay at one in which I found a crack pipe. |
I stayed at a hotel a couple of years ago and it was obviously not a 5 star hotel. We didn't expect a mint on the pillow and fresh fruit for breakfast.
But...we also didn't expect to pull back the comforter and find blood on the sheets. Or for the continental breakfast to include mold on the bagels. We got the room switched and a discount. We will never stay at that crappy place again. It was in a nice location so we were surprised it was so dirty and horrible. It was a very last minute booking and the GOOD hotels were booked. |
