No way! He would be BORED!

He did take me the the my undergrad winter formal before I became an AKA.

Yeah as long as there is at least one familiar face there... And he never meets a stranger.

I'm not an AKA, but yes he does and I attend his fraternity events...within reason.

My dad would be hurt if my Soror Mom did not let him come to the public functions. He loves those formals and "chicken dinners".

I love seeing older greek couples at our formal events and other formal greek events. I think it is cute when the husband wears a suit matching the sorority colors and / or has a nice tie in the sorority's colors with a dark suit.

My dad is a Kappa who dates an AKA and they both attend each other's events. It's very cute. They were in undergrad together and know all of the same people so it's fun for them.

As for me, I haven't yet brought dates to any of our public events but I wouldn't rule it out. I think it also really depends on the guy and how comfortable he is in that kind of setting and whether he can socialize on his own.

Exactly, I brought my current boyfriend of two years to one gathering with my LS at a homecoming. I have never brought him to an event hosted by my chapter or conference. Un'til i have a ring on my finger and we are married, I might bring him then. I don't want to be considered someone that brings a different man to every functions. Unless you are married, you are still dating an individual even if he is your man for a while. Thats just my personal opinion Sorors.

You got that right!!;) He is a trip!

My sweetie has been to a few functions before but, as my LS said, it needs to be a familiar face or some dudes he can talk too before he will come.

If it's a DATE or FAMILY-STYLE function: ball, formal dinner, picnic, etc...I'd take him. But, most other stuff, nah. Part of MY time.

I am single, however, if the appropriate occasion arose, I would see no problem with bringing my man, as long as we are in a relationship--not my man-of-the-moment.

My boyfriend comes to all of my chapter's public events as I do his chapter...my chapter sorors call him my "honey-do".:) I appreciate his support and I feel that our organizations bring us closer together.

Here is a pic of us at my chapter's Old School costume party last year...
