? Alright, here's try two.

At my school, folks do not look down on girls rushing Asian sororities when they had gone through NPC rush first. This attitude is likely to differ from school to school. What other detailed answer would you like?

And this is probably where I confused folks, to the OP: Give NPC rush a try! I'm an Asian in a NPC sorority and love it. Besides, you aren't committing to anything if you only go through rush.

"folks" = the members of the Asian sorority?

If so, then you answered his question the best way an outsider can, since you are not in an Asian sorority.

Ah yes, folks as in members of Asian orgs. Of course I'm an outsider, but I notice that the OP didn't specify only members of Asian sororities can answer.

So if we're talking qualifications and all, I'm close friends with girls in all the Asian sororities on campus. Halfway through NPC rush I registered for their rush, their presidents and rush chairs (not aforementioned friends) were happy to see me and reassured me on their own initiative that this would not harm my rush. So, closest response to the real situation (real = someone actually in an Asian sorority) thus far, though I don't seem to articulate myself very well. =P
