You know those Pro-Life people who stand on the side of the road with pictues of aborted babies? The stuff the PETA demonstraters where showing was even worse. They are way to extreme. Not to mention they fund eco-terrorism. Not only do they fund it but they are proud of it.

Kinda crazy if you ask me...

This is very true. Many PETA supporters also support Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and Earth Liberation Front (ELF), which are considered terrorist organizations by the federal government. They are radical to the extreme. It's one thing to be a vegetarian, it's another to be a PETA person. I think many people support PETA without really realizing what the organization does.

Another organization people should stay clear from is the Humane Society of the United States. DO NOT confuse it with your local humane society that takes in animals and adopts them out. HSUS is an activist organization that is similar to PETA and ALF in many ways, and most people donate money to them without realizing that it is not connected to their local humane society. Always donate your money and time to your local society, not this organization.

I really appreciate this post. VERY informative.

I remember how wierd that episode of the The Two Coreys (Coreys Haim and Feldman) was when the PETA rep came to dinner. Like a cult. Borderline Scientology.

Hm, if you look at a well rounded diet, it includes all food groups.

That is what the Man Upstairs made them for.

You can eat what is good for you or starve.

Think I wil have a bit of beef roast and vegies tonight!

Vegetarian here (lacto-ovo, though like others I can't stomach eating eggs alone, they have to be cooked into something). I've always been vegetarian and don't know what meat (of any kind) tastes like, and have no desire to find out. I also try to avoid foods with animal byproducts (ie. gelatin and rennet), but it can be difficult.

As for protein, I tend to eat a lot of soy and vegetable-protein based alternatives. For supper this evening, for example, I had wholewheat pasta with red pesto, parmesan and fake "chicken" pieces made from mushrooms. It was very tasty indeed. :)

The black bean burger was delish! I had a veggie burger from Ruby Tuesday's on Friday and it was not as good.

I love Chili's black bean burger! I also agree with you about RT's. Yuck.

I love BK's veggie burger with cheese.

It is slightly healthier than a whopper but tasty like a whopper. Mayo and ketchup, too. Yummmm.

I didn't know they had a veggie burger. I've never seen it on the menu. Do they carry it at every location?

They carry it at every location I've been to.

Keep in mind that it is stll fast food so I don't know how they cook it.

I still love it. :)
