I just found out that this soror is actually one of my chapter soror's cousin. In addition, my Line Sister's -sister pledged that chapter. Small world. But in all things God's will is done whether we understand or not. |
My condolences to her family and friends. Another senseless crime involving a woman. Ladies please be careful. SMH

I didn't know her because she came along a while after I left UL, but some of the people I used to hang with out there know her. I learned of the story through them on Facebook. It's really sad when stuff like this happens. :(

Funeral set for Margaret Allen By Sheila McLaughlin • smclaughlin@enquirer.com • August 6, 2008 A memorial service for attorney Margaret “Missy”Allen, who was strangled last month in her Fairfield home on Whitmore Lane, is set for noon Saturday at Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 9991 Wayne Ave., Woodlawn. Visitation with the family will be 10:30 a.m. at the church. A Delta Sigma Theta Sorority service will be held at 10 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Women Helping Women, 217 E. Ninth St., 7th Floor, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202; Summer Work Experience in Law (SWEL), PO Box 36593, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236-0593; or YWCA Battered Women’s Shelter, 898 Walnut St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. Allen’s body was found in a wooded area at Schmidt Field in Cincinnati’s East End on July 27. Police have not made an arrest in the case. Butler County Prosecutor Robin Piper said there is a primary suspect. The investigation has focused on her boyfriend, according to Allen’s relatives. Attorney Richard Goldberg, who represents the boyfriend, said his client – an ex-con with a history of violence -- has cooperated with police and has supplied them with his DNA and fingerprints. |
Condolences to her family, friends and chapter sorors. :(
