http://www.stephenanthonyphoto.com/2...neth-davis-ca/ <---- so a girl I know got engaged and her engagement photos are hottttt. There is something about the texture of the photos which makes them look like they are from a magazine.
Does anyone think this is a Photoshop trick, and if so, how'd they do it? |

Update: Had my first photo shoot with models who were not friends....had a blast!
I ended up buying a version of one of the lighting sets which NP suggested. Just two "hot lights" were all I needed for the shoot. A backdrop would have been helpful, but it wasn't necessary. (Although a backdrop will be my next investment. I learned how to make a contact sheet in Adobe PhotoShop, so that was a plus. I'll be editing photos starting mid-week and will post them in my fb portfolio shortly after I'm done. :) |

@Senusret you've got some really amazing photos!

You can see them here? Wasn't sure my fb privacy settings were that open.

oh, i was confused and i thought the photos of your friend were yours...now i reread and see they're not...so i take it back -ha- as i have no idea how good they are...
but i suspect they are... |
I don't have any specific pointers, but I did join Model Mayhem and their forums for photographers are really, really helpful.
I'm getting a little anxious for my shoot this weekend because I am dealing with (potentially) a high volume of models and no assistants. Anyway, this is the link to my portfolio on FB. I know it needs a lot of work, but it's growing. |
