I think it's a "should the situation arise" question. It's very common for legacies to wonder about this when their legacy chapter isn't their first choice. I had a PNM in my group last year ask me the same exact question.

I understand your point and as a legacy myself to another group i had a lot of questions myself as a PNM. I am just trying to detemine if the PNM has been released by ABC prior to pref because the OP did not suggest that the PNM was preffing ABC. In my experience, there are campus' where a group will release a legacy prior to pref if that legacy has made it clear she does not want to be part of that organization. If this were the case and the PNM is not preffing ABC, I think that changes things a bit.

The OP specified that the girl hadn't been cut from any houses yet. She didn't say whether her friend had tried to drop ABC.

Correct the situation is that she has abc and xyz for pref night. a

abc is her legacy
and xyz is her choice.
