If, for whatever reason it doesn't work out for Fall Recruitment, it gives you the Fall semester to focus on your grades (so you can have some firm grades), and meet ladies in all the chapters. I think a good chunk of the sororities participate in Spring recruitment due to the number of graduating seniors at the end of the Fall semester.

My school always has many international students here for study aboard, and they almost always rush. The sororities go completely gaga over them and they always get bids, even though we all know they will only be here for 1-2 years, tops.
