I also use a very thick mascara and it doesn't matter how good I wash my face and eyes, there will still be chunky remnants of mascara left. I've been known to pull out almost all of my lashes from pulling the remnants out. They grew back to full volume in about 2 days.

Have you tried Neutrogena's Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover? I was wearing mascara that just refused to budge, which was great when I didn't want to put mascara on for three days since it would last that long, but annoying when I wanted it off. It seems like there is oil in it to me, but what do I know. ::shrug:: It works though.

I use facial cleansing wipes. Any kind of makeup remover burns the crap out of my eyes. I'm allergic to mascara so I wonder if that has something to do with it?

I wish I had eyelashes long enough to worry about cutting.

I would think that you could get someone to trim them with super clean cuticle scissors. It's hard to think about doing it well if you did it yourself, but maybe you could. I was thinking that the same salons that do eyelash and eyebrow dying might also cut them.

I don't get what all the hoopla about this - I cut mine with nail scissors and just trim off the ends. It's not like you cut them off or cut them down to the eyelid - it's just a trim, like trimming your bangs.

uh, no its not. there's never a good reason to trim eye lashes. ive never known them to grow that long. and people arent born with bangs so thats why they need trimming.

i dont think eyelashes are to grow past a certain length, like arm/leg hair.

I think not being able to wear your eyeglasses at the proper spot because your eyelashes are too long is a pretty good reason. Mine are well over an inch long if I let them grow. That's annoying as hell.

I will admit that I am jealous of you.

Don't be. With long eyelashes comes many tears--from tiny pieces of hair constantly poking you in the eye.

I didn't even realize this thread was still going. Lol, since it is, I'll give an update. I feel a ton better and actually function during the day, which is awesome. I put on sunglasses while I was driving and, for the first time, was not the least bit uncomfortable. But I think it'll be short-lived, because my lashes are growing back already. I looked in the mirror this morning and they are noticeably longer than last week. They'll probably be back to where they were by Christmas. I decide what length I like them then.

uniBrow.

I was just cracking a joke. When I see a joker with a uniBrow, I just wonder why he/she won't cut it. I guess he/she must like it.

There is a local weatherman here (probably in his early to mid 30's) who used to have a unibrow. It boggled my mind that he was on television every night and NO ONE talked to him about that unibrow...they just let him get in front of the camera every night looking like that. Well, I guess someone finally pulled him aside and talked to him, because now his eyebrows looked waxed.
