I think it depends on WHY you're having problems. I started having problems because of the way I was sitting when I was pregnant pushed my hipbone a bit out of alignment.

Mine comes when I sit in a certain spot on the couch for a long time, so probably similar situation.

Going to get a epidural steroid injection in my L5-S1 on Monday. Been on the couch since Sunday. Today was the first day since that I was able to walk. Steroids (by mouth), pain killers and muscle relaxers haven't done jack for me...Hoping for immediate relief after getting the injection.

That was one of the two levels I had surgery on (the other being L4-L5). Good luck!

I refused to try epidurals because if they didnt work and I had to take off school in the middle of the year it would have been a lot worse for me.

Did the surgery permanently fix it?

I hope it goes well for you ZZ-kai-, and I am glad you could walk some today.

Now you guys know why us Betas had all that free time to vote in the Battle of the Fraternities...

I had a LOT of time on my hands this week....to say the least. Working from home is nice, but ESPN repeats SportsCenter so much, it almost makes me sick.. :)
