No kiddin'...it's gotten much better since they actually gave the cast members something to do. The first season was boring because they had too much down time...plus the people were a bit goofy.

I have to say that I'm not a huge reality TV fan, although I liked BB2 for a while. Any genre of TV that may consider giving Orenthal Simpson a show is not a good thing.

I think Reality Shows are okay, it's just gotten out of control.

MSSTCY1 04-30-2003 01:10 PM

Temptation Island is probably my all time favorite reality show...my friends and I just used to scream and scream at the TV.

I love real world and the osbournes too.

Fraternity and Sorority Life, are okay.. I just kinda can't help myself from watching them

I still cannot believe that there is a reality movie coming out.

CutiePie2000 04-30-2003 01:11 PM

I don't really understand how a reality movie is different from a documentary?

Yea!!!! Another MASH fan!

The only way I can watch MASH anymore is on DVD - no stations carry them here (first time ever you couldn't catch MASH at least once a day).

Reality TV is not for me. I can't stand watching anyone else suffer.

Can my thumbs be in the middle on this one...

Also- on Big Brother- I was down in Australia for the first season of it and I could not beleive how crazed the country was with it- I don't think it was anywhere near like that here...was it?

well all reality programs are documentaries. I think its just that most people don't think of them like that b/c most reality shows focus on sex, drama, and drunk people.

Well technically I think they are the same thing. But I think in this case of a "real" documentary and this reality movie is that the film makers/crew interfere in the "casts" actions trying to get them to do stuff they might not normally do, and in a "real" documentary the filmmakers/crew try to keep their distance as much as possible from the participants.

LeslieAGD 04-30-2003 05:22 PM

Documentaries are usually unbiast, or try to be.
Reality movies are edited to exhitbit what the producer/director/cash-flow-people want it to show.
