Jimmy Buffett - Of course!!
|
Any Family Values tours are cool too
|
I would have to say one of my favorite would be The Edge Christmas concert my Senior year in High School with Bowling for Soup, Blink-182, and Bush. And the other is Edge Fest this year with Oleander, Orgy, Fuel, Weezer(I got their autographs!), The Cult, Flicker Stick, Dolly Braid, Dexter Freebish(I love them!!!), and LifeHouse. Poe was on the side stage, but I didn't get to hear her perform. It was a really GREAT concert!

We've got the same taste in music! Dixie Chicks are awesome in concert. I saw them a couple of summers ago when they were touring with Tim McGraw. Unfortunately, there was a major wreck on the interstate, so we got to the concert late and only got to see a couple of their songs performed. But they were wonderful! |
I have to agree with 33girl...I've seen Billy Joel twice, and the first time was my favorite concert ever. That one was at the Assembly Hall in Champaign, IL in fall of 1994. He has so many great songs, his band was outstanding, he played to the audience really well, and I managed to score great seats for the show.
Other good ones include Aerosmith in the summer of 1994, U2 on their Popmart Tour (I've heard that their other tours were better, but that was the only time I've ever seen them), and the Rolling Stones in late '97 or early '98. Rock on! |
-Billy Joel, it was at the USAIR Arena I think. I remember seeing Chelsea Clinton a few rows down. It was awesome how everyone held hands at the last song, Pianoman.
-StoneTemplePilots- At George Mason Patriot Center. That was an awesome concert. They had this great opening where they lowered this couch in the beginning. -Beastie Boys- At George Mason Patriot Center. Another Awesome Concert. I had a great time. -Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie at the Nissan Pavillion. It was ok. I love NIN but I could care less for David Bowie. It was a pretty good time. |
1) U2 (and they're apparently coming back - I can't wait)
I also heard the recent ACDC concert was really awesome (better than Elevation apparently) http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |
U2 Popmart Tour. They put on amazing show. I would love to see them again.

I can't just choose one.... (sorry)
The absolutely most fun concerns I have been to are the three BNL (bare naked ladies) concerts.... those guys kill me every time. Another fun one was, now I am showing my age, the Stray Cats. The concert was just a few years ago and the band was playing a really small community Fourth of July event... it's sad when bands are reduced to that... but my friends and I had a great time singing and dancing to songs from our childhood. And for all of the Billy Joel fans out there - another great one was the Billy Joel and Elton John show. I'm not a big Elton John fan but seeing two music legends like that play some of the greatest songs ever... ahhhhh, it was moving. The one band that I've seen more than any others is one of the least popular but a show that I would NEVER miss... Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Lastly, I'm always a sucker for a little "Pirate Looks at 40" by my friend, Jimmy Buffett. |
I, too, have seen many many great shows. Favorites would be (in no particular order):
I've been dying to see DMB, but they won't be anywhere near me this summer, unless the extend their tour. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif I had to edit this because I finally got to see Dave & the boys!! Definately on the top of my list, now... tied with BNL (who've I've now seen a total of 5 times!). Also, I saw George Clinton for a second time, and it was possibly the worst show I've ever seen. He did too much of some drug beforehand. Man, it was bad. ------------------ SilverTurtle@greekchat.com Phi Beta Fraternity Phi chapter |
Incubus' Morning View concert in Worcester MA
|
O.A.R. at the tower city ampitheatre here in Cleveland was amazing! Plus Red Wanting Blue played along with Ordinary Peoples and Graham Colton. I would have to say that that was the funnest concert I've ever been to!
I also saw John Mayer while I was at school- at the Music Farm in Charleston, SC. It was right before he started to get big, back in Feb. He's amazing live- I would reccomend going to one of his concerts. |
I would have to say the Buzz Bakesale in 1999. 103.1 "The Buzz" threw an awesome concert with a lot of alternative bands like mxpx, jimmys chicken shack, green day and a buncha other bands that i forgot. I would love to see Jimmy Buffet in concert though, i love him and have heard he's awesome in concert!

Each of the 5 times I've seen Barenaked Ladies has been the best concert I've ever seen! :D
I also loved Incubus (saw them twice this year!) and Stone Temple Pilots. Offspring also kicked @ss. |
