There is a finite number of spaces, and if that school uses release figures, they have to draw the line somewhere. They can't invite all 1300 legacies to pref. To the OP -- your answer has been given by NutBrwnHair. Please respect her answer and move on. |
Hollywin: I am sorry for your daughter's result and the unhappy situation for your family. Writing recs every summer for so many girls heading to schools like UGA, many of whom are double and triple chapter legacies, I see the competition is tough out there. But it doesn't invalidate your disappointment or hurt feelings that she will not share the Chi O experience you had. I agree that "serious consideration" leaves a lot of discretion to a room full of 18-21 year olds. I hope your daughter finds other avenues of support and fun at UGA--any possibility she could try again or is she done?
