ok Kabillymac, i am not personally bashing KD, I am suggesting she use a better word, although this thread is a bit offensive to some, but everyone else who posted came correct, or I'll break it down better was more polite about the subject. So it's your choice that you like the term"hoemonnkey" but some might take that phrase out of content, or think of it as something else!!!! Like I said in my first post, when I personally go to the club, I am all about me, and me having fun, if you put too mcuh thought into what other people are doing, how they are doing it, and thinking about your school , then why did u go to the club, stay home!
Lastly some people have game, and some don't, some guys are shy some aren't . It all depends on the guy, and his style!

KABillyMac 05-15-2001 12:29 AM

I wasnt jumping on you for jumping on her. I just dont think that we get to use quality terms such as "hoemonkey" often enough around here.

This thread seriously pisses me off and I am trying to stay away from it. This is one of those "stickyourfootinyourmouthorpaytheconsequences" things that suck because its out here for the world to see, so what I really want to say wont get said.

From the white-boy perspective:

Ok - some of us white boys got game. It might be dorky-cute game, brainy game, "look how big a dick i can be" game, backwards/upside-down visor game, or whatever else can exist under the sun, but white guys can rock it hard - although i think someone earlier was right about the white guys not dancing as much bit. Anyway, guys that run game run it regardless of race, location, crowd, etc - they just run it. Which is cool.

Like Goldfinger said, "It's not the kill - it's the thrill of the chase . . . "

DGPhoney 05-15-2001 01:20 AM

phew , finally a guys perspective on this!!!!
it's all about the flow, the style and duh of course the GAME. Totally agree with ya Ksigrc
A playa is a playa no matter the race, and he'll still play ya like a deck of cards
Nothing but luv

Everyone's different...the stroke black kid that comes to a party with a bag of lay's chips in his hand, showing everyone his id saying he's really 23, walking to every girl saying "baby I love you" hasn't got an ounce of game in him on our campus. However one of my friends (black) works the humor bit and "all the scantily clad women be jockin' up on this brotha".

And don't talk to people in their language...because you might just get offended when I start pulling lines from a spike lee joint and talking down to you.

In the meantime I'll work my magic, get my girls (mind you not the nasty ones where my brothers will make jokes about me having to double bag it before I make the moves), and be content with that. And if I ever actually get involved with a girl, I don't cheat on her. I'm sorry if it's different for you because it's definitely a great experience (while it lasts anyway).

First, my Spelman sister seems to go to the wrong places, and was bored to boot. The question, were it phrased more subtly, might have sparked some real dialogue for such a light topic. I am with my other Spelmanite, Eclipse, on that.

Second, I never heard that phrase hoe monkey bad, I am http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif over that.

Third, as others have pointed out, there are several types of lines, and I must admit, humor works better with me than sad mack lines or staring. But that's because I'm shy, and you staring at me and not coming over does nothing. I don't approach men. Just a shy thing, not an entitlement thing.

Fourth, Monet, why didn't you head up to some of the dance clubs in Buckhead, where men of all races have game? Everytime I go back, my friends want to go up there, so SOMETHING must be happening!

DGPhoney 05-15-2001 07:30 PM

hmmm, spike lee, and his last movie was when.. hmmm
so much for language

AKA_Monet 05-16-2001 12:12 AM

Okay people--WWIII--NOT!!! Ask a simple question! Dayum!!!

Secondly, I'm in SoCal, not LA--'cuz in LA, there are many beautiful brothas-- like pick of the litter--but you do have to be careful selecting thugs from the wessss-ide connexion... (Sorry guys, I cannot help the ethnicity... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Oh. And gentlemen, if some of you really had game, why would you be pissed off because some woman in California says you do not? Why would you care?

What I am trying to understand is what would possess a man (not Black) who lives in nonLA-SoCal to say that there are no women out here??? And they call my city, "White Boy Heaven"--I think it's because all the women here are blonde haired and blue eyed...

Ladies, some of you do raise an interesting point. It is a different kind of game plan. But is it the mackin'score kind like Kobe and Shaquille??? Really?

And SH80 --tru dat, tru dat, homey http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif But whaddup wit the silicon babes and "want to be in bars to hangout wit the stars"??? Y'all ain't gon' get cho womens??? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif

I can't get a straight answer from a man. I get straight answers from the brothas all the time. But hey, dudes, what's up with your pimpin' skillz??? 'Cuz I know you got 'em, you just ain't flossin' 'em owt...

bump, controversial thread.

librasoul22 10-13-2002 10:20 PM

All I have to say is LOL.

This thread is freaking hilarious.

:D

Kevin 10-13-2002 10:22 PM

I'd be about the first to say that my 'game' skills are pathetic. Then again I've been going out with the same lady for 2 years now. Even when I landed her though.. pathetic would be the word. I'll admit it.

But to speak for others of my race would be going over the line. I would definitely agree though that I find the media portrays black men as 'players' whereas we white men are clueless as to how that works. I would say it's untrue both ways. The original poster has been to 1 or just a few bars and observed us in our natural habitat and drawn the conclusion that we are all similar or the same. That just can't be said.

PM_Mama00 10-14-2002 11:20 AM

I would like to see what would have happened if a white guy woulda posted this about a black woman or man.

It probably would have been just as hilarious as this one. But then again, you probably would have to add one of your asinine, racist, bass ackwards comments to it and it would all go to hell.

So why don't you post a thread and find out? Couldn't be any worse than PREJUDISM, could it?
