ETA: Wannabe~ to get your answers, why don't you post these questions in the AKA forum?

Don't you send her back to us. We have already let her know that we think she should post elsewhere. (Funny thing is, her posts didn't start in our forum, so I wonder where her interest truly lies.)

Also, Charlie Brown is my favorite. I identify strongly with ol'Chuck.

Do ya'll really believe this is a real poster? I, personally, think it is a troll.

Noone writes that badly in real life, especially not someone in college or trying to attend college (at least I hope not:rolleyes:).

jessiwannabe 09-11-2007 11:26 AM

every one has their on opinion I Just expressed my feeling about hazing and that is what this fourm is (risk management HAZING etc.)

LatinaAlumna 09-11-2007 11:42 AM

^Yes, you expressed an opinion about hazing, but then you went off about how hard it is for people of color (which is a discussion for another forum), and then started discussing a family tragedy that you've experienced (which goes in yet another forum)--all while you have this underlying need to find out what's going to "happen" to you should you be invited to pursue membership in a particular organization.

You're asking questions about what people should have to do in order to earn membership. Every organization is DIFFERENT and most of the organizations are not going to reveal to you how they determine who becomes a member and who does not. Poking around like you are is probably just serving to annoy people who may be in a position to vote on you later (especially since you put up a bunch of identifying information).

Just focus on school, please, and the rest should follow.

Well, I don't know about these terms. However, I do know what people say about your city. "There ain't no ham like Birmingham."

It's Sirlkwan again.

jessiwannabe 09-11-2007 11:54 AM

okay that' fine but I was not poking around for information is was just trying to see what people think of hazing and who you could crush it. Yes I did talk about color because I believe people change organization organizations should not change people all you know about me is I live in Birmingham and I want to go to transfer to Birmingham Southern that's it. I also said WHAT DO YOU THINk please remember this is optional no one asked you to respond. I did touch on my sister's situation because shes ONE of the reasons I would want to join a organization but their are many more.

jessiwannabe 09-11-2007 11:59 AM

I love Birmingham and where I come from I'm not ashamed of that. You have to know where you come from in order to know where you are going

So here's what I'm getting: jessiwannabe wants to be a member of a particular org that shall remain unnamed. She's sooooo sure about this that she uses "we" when referencing BGLOs.

She'd also like to know how any org (but you know, maybe one particular one) selects their members if they don't haze. As she pursues her org. of choice, she wants to be hazed, but only in uplifting and meaningful ways because you shouldn't tear each other down. You know, as long as she's ok with it.

Also she needs to be referenced to the rules of "there," "their," and "they're."

AAhhhh, NOW I get it. You definitely live up to your sig, Drolefille, thanks for the translation!

Wannabe, no one here can help you. And no one wants to have the conversation you want to have. Please stop posting and posting and re-posting the same topic, it appears to have been fully covered. Try to be invited to join the org you want, find out FROM THEM when you ARE THERE what will be involved in the membership process, then either go through it, or don't. Best wishes!

Thanks for the recap! Now I don't have to read the beginning of this thread or any of the other 5 she has started! :)

I really think you're main focus should be on your grades first. Without good or decent grades, it won't get you too far. And hazing should be the LEAST of your worries...

..in before the lock?

1908Revelations 09-11-2007 01:15 PM

Jessi please see my post in the other thread you started. Thanks

You're welcome to both of you. She's just fishing for info, and IMO, protecting herself from harsh criticism by also having a sad depressing story. It's like the reality show character you want to make it because he lost a testicle to cancer. Few people are THAT comfortable talking about personal issues when new to a public area.

I'm making you a cyber t-shirt that says "Psych majors do it better." ;)
