Dear Sophomore Alethiasi: DON'T spend your money on stupid crap, don't use your credit cards, in fact.... DON'T GET ONE, OR THE EIGHT THAT YOU HAVE NOW. actually USE your savings account!!!!!! I know you love psychology... but stick with English Adolescent Ed. TRUST ME. Junior Alethiasi: why did you waste the first month and a half in EUROPE being depressed. in fact... why have i spent most of my life being depressed? it's not your fault... and it never has been. Senior Alethiasi: Don't throw yourself into the sorority so much, do more on campus, get experience/ line up an internship b/c now you have this psychology major. GO TO CLASS. Second senior year Alethiasi: Stop making the sorority your life. You won't have much left over for yourself. DUMP JON TYLER!!!!! for the love of god woman, he's not going anywhere and never will!!!!!!!!!!!!! you will waste your time and only be heartbroken when your scumbag of a "best friend" takes him from you. p.s. don't be so close to cassie. Trust your friends when they suspect cassie and jon going behind your back. Don't be so blindly faithful and have so much trust in people. I know it's late when you leave the library or have all night sorority sessins with the girls, but don't eat taco bell or wendy's. I know you don't want to cook, but don't eat that crap. and exercise like you say you will!!! The 50 lbs you'll carry around 2 years from now are not worth it!!! :(:(:(:( LOVE, Maggie |

Dear 19 year old Belle . . .
- You don't have to marry him just because he's the first nice guy you meet. In fact, DON'T.
- Dream big. Even bigger. You are only going to be young once - take a chance. - For God's sake, stay in shape. Don't stop working out, cause it's a pain to get back into shape when you are older. - Go straight into graduate school. -worry less about being a "good girl", and a little more about taking care of yourself. |
To the undergrad me (of sometime ago)
--buy all the textbooks and read them. --go to class Friday afternnoons; some TGIF parties can be skipped. --have a few sane friends, a nutty posse can spin out of control. --although there is a minimum GPA, THAT WILL NOT GET ME INTO GRAD SCHOOL, and shoot for better grades. Making up grades now and being on academic probation isn't fun. --Pass on the bad boys. (welllll, most of them) |

Freshman me:
Daddy does not know everything. Listen to Dean W and take his advice. Sophomore me: Freedom is a good thing but it comes with a price. RUN AWAY from that boy. Leave him alone, or you'll be attached to him forever. Junior me: Responsibility is not a bad thing. Senior me: Switch programs but STAY in graduate school. :( TRUST ME, you'll appreciate it later. |
