Am not Sigma Kappa ladies, a member of another national, but keep low profile due to job.

BUT DID WANT TO SAY: OUTSTANDING at Cal State Long Beach.
Back in my day there, post Civil War, pre Brittany, almost all houses including mine struggled badly, but most hung on, came back strong. This is despite having no "row," a large city that is mostly apathetic to the school, houses are scattered all over, and being a mostly commuter and very much of a diverse campus.

You're right. At the 50th anniversary of the LB chapter there, I was privileged to meet one of the founding sisters of the LB SK chapter and she brought with her a scrapbook she had made 50 years earlier of her time as a SK in Long Beach complete with articles about Greek Life and the things they did back then. I also met many of the ladies that helped recolonize the chapter when sororities came back to campus and they too had amazing stories to tell of the struggles they faced when faced with apathy and little to no support from the school.

ETA: It can suck to live at the chapter house and still have to drive to class. Boo!
