aww that sounds cute...any chance of you posting that picture??

this is the basic concept of it, theirs had a little more design into it, I'll try to get a picture of a real one soon.

HOw about an anchor, a heart and a cross.

A few of my sisters have a panda or rose next to the heart, anchor, and cross.

I kind of want to get a tattoo but I am hesitant because it is permanent. If i were to get one, i would put it on my wrist and it would be small so i could wear a watch or bracelet over it so it wouldn't be visiable if I didn't want it to.

An idea that some of my sisters here at Gamma Theta (University of South Florida) did was tattoos on the inside of their lower lip. Apparently it doesnt stay your entire life, it's a little more discrete than a tattoo somewhere else. The only downside is that it can fade as quickly as the next day, he said if done right it can stay your whole life. But they got a cross, an anchor, and a heart. It came out really cute and it's different then a rose or a panda.

That sounds really painful. Then again, I am a total wimp with I get a canker sore, so I cannot imagine trying to recover from a tatoo in my mouth!

hahhaa thats so funny, that is what i ended up getting!! what AOQTII is referring to is what I and some of my pledge sisters got, only I got ALPHA <3
(a heart). I found out about 3 or 4 more of my gamma theta sisters got the inner lip tats about 2 weeks ago!!

I personally have no problem with tattoos that are a form of self-expression, not of those that are a drunken mistake from Spring Break. Although I myself don't have any [yet] that reflect AOII, quite a few of my sisters do. Many have found simple sketches of a cross, anchor and heart [symbolizing faith, hope and charity/love]. Others have taken that basic concept and turned it into a more artistic approach, with an old wooden cross that ends with an anchor piercing a heart. While that may not sound as beautiful as it is, words can't really describe the artwork.

Overall, I think that a tattoo to represent the lifelong sisterhood you find in AOII can be a tasteful and positive experience.

CHILLY!! So I feel like an idiot that I didn't realize it was you-- it's funny but I was reading your signature & I'm like that quote sounds familiar & this girl is in Rho Lambda, WEIRD! Haha... I kind of wish for my lip I had gotten "Peace, Love & AOII" but maybe the smiley face will fade faster & I can just replace it :)

A few girls in my chapter have AOPi related tattoos.... two girls have a 7 on their wrists, 3 have A<3 on their wrist and there is also one that I love that has the faith, hope and charity symbols on her foot! it is sooo cute! We had this talk at meeting the other day because some of our pledges wanted to tattoo AOPI on them, but I thought we weren't allowed to have the actual letters on our body? But i wasn't too sure
