Doesnt matter to me, after this past month, I think i've about had it with online flirting...........not worth the drama associated with it at all, IMO. Sorry guys.

I'm nice but I don't need to flirt.

This article is still hilarious. And true!

My fave is telling the poor saps to "go the way of the devil" lol.

It's important for men to know how to flirt and not overdo it. A man who flirts TOO much is just annoying.

I agree. It makes them look desparate and pathetic.

I love direct approaches, ie. a guy at a bar just came up to me and was like "Hi my name is ___. What's your name? And extended his hand to shake it. He was confident and up front... and he probably had all the confidence in the world since he's an Abercrombie model and knows all the girls think he's hot... but alas, I really liked it.

Often, at the bar, I'll see a guy looking at me and I'll look at him, but yet neither of us will make any sort of move.

Or you may get those psycho guys who try a lame line on you, and you say you were just leaving (and you really were leaving the bar) and he grabs your arm and won't let it go, even when you're really trying to pull away, he just won't let you. Yeah, that's a huge no-no.

I just ask them if they have seen my missing penis and will they help me look?

Either it took almost a year and a half for James to think of that comeback, or James is bored! :D

From original article: If a man is flirting with someone and, for whatever reasons, she stops sending warm signals, it is important to quickly and politely withdraw. For example, "I'm meeting someone" means "Leave me alone, freakazoid," not "Please stay and talk to me until my date arrives."
But what about the film Scent of a Woman, where Lt. Col. Frank Slade and Charlie keep Gabrielle Anwar company; in the restaurant? That was bad?

From original article: To accept rejection gracefully is flirting's greatest challenge. I constantly find myself reassuring friends that the reasons for a woman's lack of interest are rarely ever personal.
This sounds to me like she is reassuring them (these friends) to be nice. She's hardly going to say "Well are you surprised? You look like you've been hit in the face with a spade and on top of that you're chubby. You've no chance; go home loser. No offence." No. :)

Orig. posted by damasa: It's not about flirting, it's about simply letting a girl know you have some sort of interest (and it isn't limited to parties or bars and offering a woman a drink). Simply say hi and introduce yourself, ask if she is having a good time (if it happens to be a party) then end it at that. It might interest a girl enough to come talk to you when she sees you at a later time in the party. If it's in class, it might spark conversations in later classes. I've found these to work for myself, and I've formed many friendships in these past few years.
That is pretty good advice actually.
