On the local news yesterday all they said was the family is pressing anyone who may have information to come forward and that the police continue to investigate. They've dragged a number of waterways in the area but that's like saying you are checking every sidewalk for cracks.... They lost so much time before starting the investigation unless they have a suspect under watch (& they are trying to get enough to arrest) this may not have a resolution.

This is just sad. I mean, there are NO stories about her.

that is absolutely disgusting. it may not always be race related, but just hearing that class is a factor, i.e. caring less about drug users/prostitutes is even worse.

we have a young latina woman who's been missing here in Richmond for quite a while, but since she lives in a nearly 100% hispanic area, the media has only covered it twice since she disappeared.

There is also an article about this in the new Essence with Jill Scott on the cover. It has the pictures of all the little black children that are missing and weren't reported on.

I stopped watching New Detectives and other similar crime shows because all they talk about are white women, even the 'prostitutes' but no coverage of other categories of missing persons. The writer of the article and Wikipedia called it right - The Princess/Damsel in Distress Syndrome. Disgusting :mad:

there is a break in her case. on MSNBC today , it was announced that a man that was with Stepha Henry the night she disappeared was arrested. it was said that the 32 yr. old Brooklyn man drove her to the night club where she was last seen.
apparently they found some incriminating evidence that led to his arrest. who he is and the relationship, wasn't announced.
it doesn't sound as if she will be found alive, however.
